The Pasadena Playhouse (Sheldon Epps, Artistic Director and Stephen Eich, Executive Director) announced that a 10th anniversary presentation of GEORGE GERSHWIN ALONE, created by and starring Hershey Felder, will play a limited engagement at The Pasadena Playhouse. Performances will begin April 12, 2011, with the official press opening on Sunday, April 17, 2011. A global live radio broadcast of the production on the WFMT Radio Network will take place on May 2nd. The Playhouse will also present the popular Hershey Felder's Great American Songbook Sing-Along, which is scheduled for April 25 and May 9, 2011.

42nd Street Moon's Ira Gershwin celebration continues in April with STRIKE UP THE BAND, to be presented at the Eureka Theatre in low-priced previews on April 6, 7 and 8, opening on Saturday, April 9, and running through April 24. Heading the cast will be Carson Church as Horace Fletcher with Michael Scott Wells as Jim Townsend, Samantha Bruce as Joan Fletcher and Moon's Producing Director Stephanie Rhoads as Mrs. Draper.

The Marshall Performing Arts Conservatory is hosting auditions for A Little Night Music on May 5 & 6, 2011. Auditions on Friday are at 7:30pm, and auditions on Saturday are at 1:00pm.
