BROADWAY BARKS announces their 17th annual star-studded dog and cat adoption event to benefit New York City animal shelters and adoption agencies. Founded by Bernadette Peters and Mary Tyler Moore, this event features celebrities from the hottest shows on Broadway.  The event, produced by Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS, will take place on Saturday, July 11 in Shubert Alley (located between 44th and 45th Streets, between Broadway and Eighth Avenue). The festivities begin at 3:00 p.m. where you meet all the adoptable dogs and cats; celebrity presentations of adoptable pets will take place between 5:00-6:30 p.m. This year's event will be co-hosted by Bernadette Peters and Andrew Rannells (The Book of Mormon, HBO's 'Girls'). The event is free and open to the public.

Spend Sunday brunch at the Vulture Festival this weekend!  Broadway favorites will join Susan Blackwell for a morning of songs, debauchery and adult beverages, including Jefferson Mays (A Gentleman's Guide to Love and Murder), Sarah Stiles (Hand to God), Brad Oscar (Something Rotten), Christian Borle (Something Rotten), Scarlett Strallen (A Gentleman's Guide to Love and Murder), and Geneva Carr (Hand to God).

Vulture.com, New York Magazine's culture and entertainment site, today announced additional events and participants for the 2nd-Annual Vulture Festival.

More than 400 alumni, donors and supporters gathered at Jazz at Lincoln Center's Frederick P. Rose Hall last week for the 2015 NYU Tisch School of the Arts Gala, honoring Michael C. Hall, Steven Lutvak and Robert L. Freedman, with a special tribute to Mel Silverman. The evening was a celebration of the dreams of NYU Tisch students, both past and present, and featured performances by current students and alumni of NYU Tisch and the cast of A Gentleman's Guide to Love & Murder. The event was hosted by Anna Deavere Smithand included presenters Peter Krause, Winnie Holzman and Tyne Daly. Also in attendance were Ewan McGregor,Lauren Graham and Morgan Macgregor. Over $1.1 millionwas raised to support the education of talented young artists from around the world.

The NYU Tisch School of the Arts annual gala honoring Michael C. Hall, Steven Lutvak and Robert L. Freedman, with a special tribute to Mel Silverman, was held last night, May 4, at the Jazz at Lincoln Center's Frederick P. Rose Hall. The evening was hosted by Anna Deavere Smith and featured special presenters Tyne Daly, and Winnie Holzman. The gala performance, directed by Bill Castellino, celebrated the incredible accomplishments of Tisch students, both past and present. The two-time Tony Award winning hilarious hit comedy 39 Steps just opened last night, April 13th at the Union Square Theatre (100 East 17th Street). The cast of 39 Steps features original Broadway cast member Arnie Burton as Clown #2, as well as Billy Carter as Clown #1, Broadway vet Robert Petkoff as the dashing hero Richard Hannay, and Brittany Vicars as Pamela/Annabella/Margaret in her New York City stage debut. The New York Times writes that Steven Lutvak, who composed the music for Broadway's A GENTLEMAN'S GUIDE TO LOVE AND MURDER, had given up on having a family until he met Michael T. McGowan.
