CURIOUS FROG THEATRE COMPANY is pleased to announce their production of Jean Genet's THE MAIDS, directed by Tracy Cameron Francis. THE MAIDS will play a three-week limited engagement at a site-specific Chelsea Loft (306 8th Avenue between West 25 & 26th St.).

Beginning May 1, 2010 Genet and Saroyan will be on display in a double-bill at the American Theatre for Actors (314 W. 54th Street). Nutshell Productions will present ' Spend a Night in Jail' including the plays HELLO OUT THERE by William Saroyan, directed by Robert Haufrecht and DEATHWATCH by Jean Genet, directed by Richard Hymes-Esposito.

51 Bergen Street is a three story factory building located in what until recently was an industrial neighborhood in Brooklyn, New York. The history of this factory building reflects the history of this downtown neighborhood.

Deaf West Theatre, Ed Waterstreet, Artistic Director, has announced their next production, My Sister In This House by Wendy Kesselman. Directed by Michael Unger, My Sister In This House will begin previews on Saturday, April 10 and is set to open on Saturday, April 17 at 8pm. The engagement will run through Sunday, May 30.

On Monday, November 23, 2009 The Players Foundation will present a Benefit/Celebration to honor the life's work of Jerry Tallmer, the legendary, prolific NYC theater journalist and critic who was a founder of the Village Voice and creator of the OBIE Awards. Artists and admirers will gather to toast the man whose inquiring intellect and visionary writings started many careers.
