As Fox's FRINGE approaches its finale, the network has partnered with Gallery 1988, local artists, and the Paley Center for Media in Los Angeles, for a fan-based fundraising benefit.

HBO has picked up a comedy pilot based upon Michael Lannan's feature script LORIMER, Deadlined has reported this evening. David Marshall Grant and Sarah Condon have signed on as executive producers, along with Lannan. Andrew Haigh will helm the untitled pilot.

HBO has officially picked up a comedy pilot from GIRLS scribe Bruce Eric Kaplan, the network announced today. The pilot, PEOPLE IN NEW JERSEY, follows two siblings living just south of New York, who desperately attempt to get through life on a day-by-day basis. SATURDAY NIGHT LIVE's Lorne Michaels will produce alongside acclaimed director Jason Reitman and Kaplan.

In a unique special event created for Toronto International Film Festival audiences, Reitman directed a live stage reading of Alan Ball's screenplay for American Beauty. Sam Mendes' film about a family man's resplendent mid-life crisis premiered in Toronto in 1999 and went on to win five Academy Awards, including Best Picture and Best Screenplay. The one-night-only performance included Bryan Cranston, Christina Hendricks, Woody Harrelson, Adam Driver, Sarah Gadon, Nick Kroll, Mae Whitman and George Stroumboulopoulos. Tonight, March 29, marks this year's final installment of Jason Reitman's Live Read productions will feature a reading of The Big Lebowski on the Bing Theater stage. Seth Rogen will will lead the production as 'The Dude.' Additional cast members will include Jason Alexander, Hank Azaria, Christina Hendricks, Nick Kroll, Catherine Reitman, Fred Savage, and Rainn Wilson.

TOPHER GRACE and OLIVIA THIRLBY will co-star in Second Stage Theatre's production of Paul Weitz's world premiere comedy, LONELY, I'M NOT, directed by Trip Cullman. According to EWonline, Jason Reitman, the filmmaker behind such recent hits as 'Up in the Air' and 'The Young Adult', has been performing live readings of some of the most beloved films such as 'Breakfast Club' and 'The Apartment'. Accompanying Reitman in his readings have been a slate of A-list Hollywood stars including Jennifer Garner, Natalie Portman and Steve Carell.
