Rock of Ages will make its Idaho premiere at the Morrison Center tonight, January 12 and 13, 2013.

Bring It On: The Musical will play the final performance of its limited engagement today, December 30, 2012, after 21 previews and 173 regular performances at Broadway's St. James Theatre. Primary Stages (Casey Childs, Founder & Executive Producer; Andrew Leynse, Artistic Director; Elliot Fox, Managing Director) continues their 28th season with a 20th anniversary revival of All in the Timing by David Ives. Directed by Tony Award-winner John Rando (Urinetown; A Christmas Story, The Musical),the production features Eric Clem (Blue Man Group), Carson Elrod (Peter and the Starcatcher), Jenn Harris (Silence! The Musical), Liv Rooth (Venus in Fur), and Matthew Saldivar (Peter and the Starcatcher). All in the Timing runs January 23 - March 17 at Primary Stages at 59E59 Theaters. Opening night is Tuesday, February 12.

The Public Theater presents VENICE, a new musical with book by Eric Rosen, music by Matt Sax, lyrics by Matt Sax and Eric Rosen, and additional music by Curtis Moore, for its 2013 spring season at the newly revitalized Public Theater at Astor Place. Directed by Eric Rosen, VENICE will run in The Public's Anspacher Theater beginning on Tuesday, May 28 through Sunday, June 23, with an official press opening on Thursday, June 13. VENICE is a next generation Broadway musical that uses the vocabulary of hip-hop while sampling Othello and Brecht to spin an epic tale of struggle and redemption. Watch a promo for the show below!

The Public Theater (Artistic Director, Oskar Eustis; Executive Director, Patrick Willingham) announced today that VENICE, a new musical with book by Eric Rosen, music by Matt Sax, lyrics by Matt Sax and Eric Rosen, and additional music by Curtis Moore, has been added to the 2013 spring season at the newly revitalized Public Theater at Astor Place. Full casting and the creative team have been announced for the limited, pre-Broadway engagement of NERDS, A New Musical Comedy at North Carolina Theatre's AJ Fletcher Theatre the Progress Energy Center for the Performing Arts in Raleigh, NC. The show will run from January 18, 2013 through February 3, 2013.

The New Group presents the first production in its 2012-2013 season, the world premiere of The Good Mother, a new play by Francine Volpe. Directed by Scott Elliott, this production features Mark Blum, Darren Goldstein, Gretchen Mol, Alfredo Narciso and Eric Nelsen. Previews began October 31 in advance of an Official Opening Night tomorrow, November 15 at 7:00pm. The limited Off-Broadway engagement is slated through December 22 at The New Group @ Theatre Row (The Acorn Theatre / 410 West 42nd Street / Acorn Theatre). The new musical comedy Bring It On: The Musical produced by Universal Pictures Stage Productions/Glenn Ross, Beacon Communications/Armyan Bernstein and Charlie Lyons and Executive Producers Kristin Caskey and Mike Isaacson will resume performances in the wake of Hurricane Sandy at The St. James Theatre (246 W. 44th Street) on Thursday, November 1, 2012 at 7pm.

Mark Blum has joined the cast of The New Group's The Good Mother, written by Francine Volpe and directed by Scott Elliott. He joins Darren Goldstein, Gretchen Mol, Alfredo Narciso and Eric Nelsen in the premiere of this new play, replacing the previously announced Bill Sage, who had to withdraw due to a scheduling conflict prior to start of rehearsals. Mark Blum's Broadway credits include Gore Vidal's The Best Man, Twelve Angry Men, A Thousand Clowns, Lost in Yonkers, and more. He has appeared previously at The New Group in Wallace Shawn and Allen Shawn's play/opera The Music Teacher, among others.
