ET reports that GLEE's Executive Producer Ryan Murphy has confirmed a Britney Spears tribute episode is currently being written. The article also notes that Spears will be the focus of only the first of two GLEE tribute episodes next season. As for the second tribute, airing after the 2011 Super Bowl, Murphy teased that ET was 'close' in guessing Michael Jackson.'

GLEE's Jane Lynch has been announced as the recipient of the 14th Annual Achievement Award from from Outfest. The award, Outfest's most prestigious honor, is given each year to an individual who has contributed significantly to LGBT film and media. Lynch will receive the honor on July 8 at a screening at the Orpheum Theatre in Los Angeles. She will be among the company of previous winners Don Roos, Jane Anderson, Gregg Araki and Rob Epstein.

Today, DoSomething.org and VH1 announced that Natasha Bedingfield, Lifehouse, and Travie McCoy featuring special guest, Bruno Mars, will perform as part of the star-studded 2010 VH1 Do Something Awards. Hosted by 'Glee' star Jane Lynch, the ceremony will celebrate a new generation of do-ers and world changers by honoring five young people for their commitment to social change. The telecast will broadcast live from the Hollywood Palladium in Los Angeles on Monday, VH1 on July 19, 2010 at 9PM EST.
