Nickelodeon's iCarly scored a ratings win with a tour de force guest starring role by Jane Lynch in 'iSam's Mom' (Saturday, Sept. 11, at 8 p.m. ET/PT), which introduced fans to Pam Puckett, Sam's never-before-seen, eccentric mother. The half-hour episode ranked as basic cable's top entertainment telecast on Saturday night with total viewers (5.9 million) and also ranks as the number-one telecast with all kid and tween demos for the week. The premiere averaged a 7.5/2.7 million K2-11, a 10.0/2.2 million K6-11 and a 9.8/2.1 million T9-14.

The first single has been released online from the new season of GLEE and features the cast singing 'Empire State of Mind', originally by Jay-Z and Alicia Keys from the premiere episode!

MTV announced today that Cher, Ellen DeGeneres, Katy Perry, the cast of 'Glee' including Jane Lynch, Cory Monteith, Chris Colfer and Amber Riley, in addition Rosario Dawson, Chris Pine, the cast of Jackass including Johnny Knoxville, Bam Magera and Steve-O, Kim Kardashian, 'True Blood' cast member Joe Manganiello, Rick Ross and Romeo of the multi-platinum Latin supergroup Aventura, are set to present at the '2010 MTV Video Music Awards.' In addition, the list of performances grows as Mary J Blige and Swizz Beatz prepare to hit the stage with Drake, also Bruno Mars will make his VMA performance debut at the 27th annual awards show, which will broadcast live on Sunday, September 12 at 9PM (Live ET/Tape delayed PT) from the Nokia Theatre L.A Live In Los Angeles, CA.

As BroadwayWorld has previously reported, GLEE will feature a Britney Spears tribute episode in its second season, premiering September 21, 2010 on FOX. Heather Morris, who plays 'Brittany' on the show, will be playing Britney Spears in a dream sequence with Ms. Spears herself, it is believed. Check out photos from the episode below.

iCarly fans will finally be able to put a face to the much talked-about name when Emmy Award-winning actress Jane Lynch (Glee) guest-stars as Pam Puckett, Sam's never-before-seen, eccentric mother, in 'iSam's Mom,' premiering Saturday, Sept. 11, at 8 p.m. (ET/PT) on Nickelodeon.

E!online reports today that Meat Loaf and Barry Bostwick will appear on GLEE's October 26 Rocky Horror tribute episode. E!online reveals that 'The pair will play station managers who have an 'interesting proposal' for Jane Lynch's Sue Sylvester.' This news comes on the heels of the announcement that Susan Sarandon had an interest in appearing on the episode. Fox has yet to confirm any casting for the Rocky Horror tribute show.
