Broadway's hottest comedy, the Tony Award-winning Best Play, GOD OF CARNAGE welcomes Emmy Award-winner Christine Lahti ('Chicago Hope') as ‘Veronica,' Emmy and Golden Globe-nominee Annie Potts ('Designing Women') as ‘Annette,' Emmy and Golden Globe-winner Jimmy Smits ('The West Wing') as ‘Alan,' and Olivier Award-nominee Ken Stott (original cast member of West End productions of God of Carnage and Art) as ‘Michael' to the cast on Tuesday, November 17. GOD OF CARNAGE plays at the Bernard B. Jacobs Theatre (242 West 45th Street).

Sense & Sensibility, the new musical originally developed in the BMI Lehman Engel Musical Theatre Workshop in New York - which has nurtured Broadway shows such as Avenue Q, Ragtime, and A Chorus Line - will get an industry reading at Playwrights Horizons on November 16. The musical most recently had a development reading at the Berkshire Musical Theater Workshop this past May.

In what the Oregon Shakespeare Festival's Artistic Director Bill Rauch and Executive Director Paul Nicholson can only describe as amazing, OSF's 2009 season results have exceeded all expectations. Initially anticipating a slump in the 2009 season attendance and revenue, the Festival closed with record attendance of 410,034 (89% of capacity), and record revenues of $17,098,115.

Featuring John Kuntz as Aston, Michael Balcanoff as Davies, and Joe Lanza as Mick and directed by Daniel Gidron, The Nora Theatre Company presents The Caretaker from Thursday, October 1 through Sunday, November 1 at Central Square Theater. Broadway's Bradley Cooper, Julianne Moore, and Carey Mulligan are set to receive special honors from the Hollywood Film Festival at the Beverly Hilton on October 26th. Cooper will receive the Hollywood Comedy Award ("The Hangover"), Moore will receive the Hollywood Supporting Actress Award (for "A Single Man," among other films), and Mulligan will receive the Hollywood Breakthrough Actress Award for her performance in "An Education."
