LONDON (August 2015) - Hyatt Regency London - The Churchill is delighted to celebrate its association with London's leading contemporary art gallery, Saatchi Gallery, with the launch of a new exhibition titled 'Into the Woods'. New York City, NY --- Marking the commencement of the 2015-16 Tribeca New Music festival, AN AMERICAN MAVERICK | JEROME KITZKE AT 60 celebrates composer-storyteller JEROME KITZKE in a two-night concert series November 13-14, 2015, at The DiMenna Center for Classical Music. Known for creating works that are uniquely and bracingly American, where freedom and ritual converge, Kitzke shares his career-long dedication to social justice and the human condition in this special program comprised of a dozen of his works composed between 1987 and 2015, including the world premiere of For Pte Tokahewin Ska. From the premier string quartet ETHEL and pianist Anthony de Mare to Hammond B-3 rising star Wil Smith and accordionist Guy Klucevsek, 26 of today's top contemporary artists will come together to perform and honor the inimitable musical language of Jerome Kitzke.

Carnegie Hall presents Orchestra of St. Luke's in five concerts in Stern Auditorium / Perelman Stage this season, starting on Thursday, October 29 at 8:00 p.m. with Principal Conductor Pablo Heras-Casado leading a program that includes Stravinsky's Suite No. 2; and Tchaikovsky's rarely heard Symphony No. 1 in G Minor, Op. 13, "Winter Daydreams." Also on the program is Mendelssohn's Violin Concerto in E Minor, Op. 64 with soloist Christian Tetzlaff.

Julie Fowlis to Bring 'Music of the Scottish Isles' to The Alden in McLean, 10/17

The Alden's 2015-2016 season begins at 8 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 17, with a performance by award-winning Celtic singer and multi-instrumentalist Julie Fowlis, who performs primarily in the rarely heard language of Scottish Gaelic. Tickets are $35/$20 for MCC district residents. The Alden is located at 1234 Ingleside Avenue, inside the McLean Community Center.

Multi-award winning Gaelic singer and instrumentalist, Julie Fowlis, will perform “Music of the Scottish Isles” at the Ware Center on Thursday, October 15 at 7:30 PM. Widely recognized for her intoxicating and lucid voice, Julie Fowlis is probably best known for singing the theme song in Disney Pixar's “Brave.”  An artist with a genuine curiosity to explore other traditions and a natural ability to cross genres, Julie has collaborated, recorded and performed with artists such as violin virtuoso Nicola Benedetti, and acclaimed singers Aled Jones, Grammy-Award winning James Taylor, and Mary Chapin Carpenter.  The Ware Center is located at 42 N. Prince Street, Lancaster.

Grammy Award-nominated concert pianist Lang Lang makes his first of three appearances at Carnegie Hall this season with a solo recital on Friday, October 23 at 8:30 p.m. in Stern Auditorium / Perelman Stage. The concert features Bach's Italian Concerto, BWV 971-a complex and pioneering work inspired by Vivaldi-along with Tchaikovsky's The Seasons, Op. 37b and Chopin's four scherzos. By the time he was 22 years old, the acclaimed pianist had already performed twice at Carnegie Hall -with the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra conducted by Yuri Temirkanov in 2001 and with the New York String Orchestra under Jaime Laredo in 2002-before making his sold-out solo recital debut in Stern Auditorium / Perelman Stage on November 7, 2003, which was recorded live by Deutsche Grammophon.
