Nederlander (President) kicked off the 100th anniversary of The Nederlander Organization by becoming the New York Landmark Conservancy's first father/son duo to be named "Living Landmarks," an honor that was bestowed last night at their annual gala at the Plaza Hotel. San Jose Mayor Chuck Reed and the San Jose City Council commended the Nederlander Company at today's city council meeting in celebration of the organization's century of promoting Broadway and concerts. For over 100 years, the Nederlander Organization has helped shape the theater and entertainment industry. The Nederlander Organization through Broadway San Jose and Nederlander Concerts promotes Broadway shows, concerts and special events to boost visitors and local jobs to San Jose's local theaters and nearby Downtown restaurants.

The Tony Awards has just announced members of the 2012-13 Administration and Management Committees for next season's ceremony. The 2012-13 management committee will include: Mark Abrahams, Kristin Caskey, Ted Chapin, Sondra Gilman, James Higgins, Heather Hitchens, Paul Libin, William Ivey Long, Michael Price, Jane Safer, Charlotte St. Martin, Scott Sanders, Nick Scandalios, Thomas Viertel, Robert Wankel, and Barry Weissler.

Broadway In Chicago's Concert moves to Millennium Park this summer. The FREE BROADWAY IN CHICAGO CONCERT will take place tonight, August 6, 2012 at 6:15 p.m. at the Pritzker Pavilion at Millennium Park. Hosted by ABC-7's Janet Davies, star of 190 NORTH, the concert will feature performances by the iconic rock legend Cyndi Lauper with members of the cast from the pre-Broadway world premiere of her new musical KINKY BOOTS, Joey from War Horse and Cathy Rigby as PETER PAN.

The Parrish Art Museum's Midsummer Party, a major highlight of the Hamptons summer season, will take place tonight, July 14. This year's gala will celebrate the "creative spirit of the East End" by honoring director/choreographer Patricia Birch, visual artist Chuck Close, author/historian Barbara Goldsmith, interior designers Tony Ingrao and Randy Kemper, musician G.E. Smith, and choreographer Paul Taylor. This years Midsummer Party Co-Chairs are Deborah F. Bancroft, Carlo Bronzini Vender, Etta Froio, Dorothy Lichtenstein, Michele Pesner, Douglas Polley, Frederic M. Seegal, Marcia Dunn Sobel, and Alexandra Stanton.
