As part of the global 50th anniversary celebration of James Bond, the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences will present 'The Music of Bond: The First 50 Years,' on Friday, October 5, at 7:30 p.m. at the Samuel Goldwyn Theater in Beverly Hills. Held 50 years to the day after the U.K. opening of the first Bond film, 'Dr. No,' the evening pays homage to the memorable title songs and indelible scores that have become as celebrated as the films themselves.

SKYFALL will soon be coming to theaters from Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer Studios, and Sony Pictures Entertainment. It is being directed by Academy Award® winner Sam Mendes and stars Daniel Craig, who returns for his third film as James Bond 007. The Broadway Barking is back on track this Autumn with a season packed with dance, drama, comedy and cabaret, five new premiers, a flexible 'festival' style programme, an exhibition space, free foyer shows and, in a first for British theatre, regular live streaming of the entire season; including rehearsals, backstage and the cheapest pay per view shows including the popular annual panto.

In celebration of the 50th anniversary of the James Bond film franchise, AMC Theatres, Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer Studios and Park Circus are bringing the original James Bond film, DR. NO, to 50 theaters nationwide on Monday, September 24 at 7PM.

Following its return this summer after a two-year absence, Pinchbottom hits the stage again in the fall with a revival of their unauthorized James Bond parody You Only Pinch Twice. The show debuts the weekend of the UK release of the new official Bond movie, Skyfall (October 26-28), giving American fans 'something with which to whet their appetite while waiting for the film to make its way to our shores.' Pinchbottom has presented the show in conjunction with the release of every Bond movie since 2006.

Variety reports that Rosamund Pike, Sam Neill, Toni Collette, Pierce Brosnan, Aaron Paul and Imogen Poots have joined the cast of the upcoming film A LONG WAY DOWN. The project is based on the best-selling dark comedy from Nick Hornby.

According to contactmusic.com reports that superstar singer Adele has recorded the theme song for the upcoming James Bond film SKYFALL. The report ends months of speculation and rumors that the singer would voice the track for the highly-anticipated film.

Daniel Craig is back as Ian Fleming's James Bond 007 in Skyfall, the 23rd adventure in the longest-running film franchise of all time. In Skyfall, Bond's loyalty to M is tested as her past comes back to haunt her. As MI6 comes under attack, 007 must track down and destroy the threat, no matter how personal the cost.

SNL enters its 38th season tonight, September 15 with host Seth MacFarlane. The Emmy Award-winning comedian and 'Family Guy' creator recently directed and lent his voice to the blockbuster feature film, "Ted," starring Mark Wahlberg and Mila Kunis.

Maestro Krajewski replaces the late Marvin Hamlisch, who was slated to guest conduct the series.
