Little LTF, an event to showcase and celebrate new writing and performing talent from across the North West, opens in Liverpool next week. 

An unmissable one-woman show by acclaimed playwright Mark Davies Markham is returning to the Liverpool stage this summer after winning rave reviews from audiences and critics alike.

Liverpool Theatre Festival has today revealed the exciting line-up of shows set to be premiered at Little LTF, its festival of new works when it returns to Liverpool City Centre next month. The second annual Little LTF will be staged at St Luke’s Bombed Out Church from Tuesday 3 May to Sunday 8 May 2022.

Organisers of the award-winning Liverpool Theatre Festival have announced its return in Autumn 2022 to take place for a third consecutive year. Little LTF, the festival's sister event to showcase new works, will also return for a second year in Spring 2022. 

Jonathan Larkin's Cherry Jezebel will make its full stage debut at the Everyman from 8-26 March 2022, following the production's sold out run of rehearsed readings in 2021. A frank and hilarious piece of new writing from regular Hollyoaks writer and long-time Everyman collaborator, the production is directed by James Baker (Jerry Springer – The Opera, YANK! The Musical).

Tennessee Shakespeare Company returns prolific playwright Lauren Gunderson (2019’s Miss Bennet: Christmas at Pemberley) to its Owen and Margaret Wellford Tabor Stage for the regional premiere of her new historical romance of Byronesque poetry and scientific invention: Ada and the Engine.

On October 16 at 8 PM at the DiMenna Center for Classical Music, Talea Ensemble conducted by James Baker will perform the U.S. premieres of award-winning works by 2020 Azrieli Music Prize (AMP) laureates.

The University of Chicago's Center for Contemporary Composition has announced the 2021-22 concert season featuring seven concerts with nine CCCC commissioned works and over 35 world premieres. Matana Roberts will serve as this season's Distinguished Guest Composer, joining and a number of other established and emerging composers.

Tennessee Shakespeare Company launches its fifth annual Free Shakespeare Shout-Out Series on September 14 outdoors at Wiseacre Brewery’s Broad Avenue location with the regional premiere adaptation of William Shakespeare’s King Henry VI: The Wars of the Roses, generously sponsored by Evans/Petree, P.C.

Now added to the programme are shows Perfectly Frank, Twice Nightly and Swan Song, with cast announcements for 2Gorgeous4U, Everybody’s Talking About Musicals, Boing…Meow! The Musical, and Broken Biscuits. Tickets are on sale for all shows.

The two shows form part of a 14-strong programme of new productions which have been specially selected by a panel of industry experts. The announcement coincides with June being Pride Month 2021. 

Little LTF is a new strand to the hugely successful Liverpool Theatre Festival, which was staged for the very first time last September in response to an ongoing need for live entertainment during Covid-19.
