Monica Bill Barnes & Company and Ira Glass, host of This American Life, will present their show Three Acts, Two Dancers, One Radio Host at The Town Hall (123 West 43rd Street) for a three-night-only run, September 10-12 at 8pm. Since April 2013, they've been on a 30-city national tour, appearing in one or two cities per month.

The result is a funny, lively and heartfelt evening of dance and stories that brought down the house in its first test run at Carnegie Hall- . In a recent interview with the New York Times, Glass reveals that he'd like to bring the show to Broadway.

The acclaimed Days and Nights Festival, founded and curated by Philip Glass, returns for its 2014 edition September 25-28 with four days of performances in Big Sur and Carmel, CA. Highlights of the long weekend include public radio host Ira Glass' new live show, Three Acts, Two Dancers, One Radio Host; Brian Greene's Icarus at the Edge of Time accompanied by a live performance of Glass' score conducted by Michael Riesman; an evening of music and spoken word with Glass on piano, spoken word artists Jerry Quickley and Mike Garry, and renowned instrumentalists Tim Fain (vioin), Matt Haimovitz (cello) and Jaron Lanier; and a screening of Visitors, the latest collaboration between Glass and director Godfrey Reggio, accompanied by a live Q&A. On June 7, Lin-Manuel Miranda's new mini-musical, 21 Chump Street, was featured at the Brooklyn Academy of Music's THIS AMERICAN LIFE as part of the 2014 'RadioLoveFest'. As a part of the event, nearly 50 actors, singers, dancers, musicians and comedians joined Ira Glass onstage at the Brooklyn Academy of Music's Opera House...to try some things they'd never tried before. The result? Journalism turned into opera, into plays, into a Broadway musical.
