The New Group celebrates its 20th Anniversary Season with a one-night-only benefit reading of Jonathan Marc Sherman's Things We Want, reuniting director Ethan Hawke with the complete original cast of the critically-acclaimed 2007 world premiere production at The New Group: Paul Dano, Peter Dinklage, Josh Hamilton and Zoe Kazan.

Watch out for flying batons, cans of Aqua Net and loads of hair dye as the kooky characters of the MISS FIRECRACKER CONTEST take the stage at Germantown Community Theatre beginning January 23rd. This Southern Gothic masterpiece from Beth Henley (author of CRIMES OF THE HEART) lets the audience in on how one Mississippi family deals with societal expectations, especially when it comes to true love and even truer beauty.

The Public Theater announced the return of Public Forum's holiday tradition, a one-night-only Drama Club reading and discussion of THE LONG CHRISTMAS DINNER on Sunday, December 14 at 7:00 p.m. at Joe's Pub at The Public. Just in time for the holidays, this exciting evening will feature a reading of Thornton Wilder's 1931 one-act featuring Tarell Alvin McCraney, Ethan Lipton, Andrew Solomon, and Tappan Wilder. Wilder's ingenious, heartbreaking play traces 90 years in the life of an American family, and will spark a discussion about family and storytelling in a society that's rapidly accelerating.

The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time is number one while Broadway's The Cripple of Inishmaan and Rocky also nab spots on the list.

The New Group continues its 20th Anniversary Season with the New York Premiere of Rasheeda Speaking, by Joel Drake Johnson, helmed by Cynthia Nixon in her directorial debut. This production features Patricia Conolly, Darren Goldstein, and as previously announced, Tonya Pinkins and Dianne Wiest. A limited Off-Broadway engagement plays January 27 - March 22, 2015, with Official Opening Night set for Wednesday, February 11 at The Pershing Square Signature Center (480 West 42nd Street).
