Geffen Playhouse welcomes Ari Brand (Broadway The Neil Simon Plays; Off-Broadway My Name is Asher Lev), Molly Ephraim (ABC's Last Man Standing, Broadway Into the Woods, Fiddler on the Roof; film Paranormal Activity), Lili Fuller (Hulu's Complete Works) and Raviv Ullman (Off-Broadway Sticks and Bones, title character in Disney's Phil of the Future) as the cast for its West Coast premiere production of Bad Jews by Joshua Harmon, directed by Matt Shakman, who is the artistic director of the Black Dahlia Theatre, a Geffen playhouse alumni (Good People, Wait Until Dark) and a noted television director (It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia, Mad Men).

The New Group presents the world premiere production of The Spoils, a new play written by and featuring Jesse Eisenberg, directed by Scott Elliott. This production will feature Erin Darke, Annapurna Sriram and Michael Zegen, and as previously announced, Jesse Eisenberg and Kunal Nayyar. The show opens tonight, June 2, for a limited Off-Broadway engagement slated through June 28 at The Pershing Square Signature Center (480 West 42nd Street).

The New Group has announced three productions for its 2015-2016 Season. The company's new season kicks off in Summer 2015 with the Off-Broadway premiere of Philip Ridley's Mercury Fur, directed by Scott Elliott. The season continues in Fall 2015 with the world premiere of Mark Gerrard's Steve, with director Cynthia Nixon returning to The New Group, where she made her directorial debut earlier this year. In Winter 2016, Scott Elliott directs Sam Shepard's Pulitzer Prize-winning play, Buried Child, featuring Ed Harris and Amy Madigan, who return to The New Group with this production.

The New Group has announced that Marin Ireland and Amanda Seyfried will join original cast members from the company's critically-acclaimed 2005 hit revival of Hurlyburly: Bobby Cannavale, Josh Hamilton, Ethan Hawke, Parker Posey and Wallace Shawn, in the previously announced one-night-only benefit reading of David Rabe's award-winning play. Directed by Scott Elliott, this benefit reading within The New Group's current 20th Anniversary Season takes place Sunday, April 26 at The New Group at The Pershing Square Signature Center (The Alice Griffin Jewel Box Theatre, 480 West 42nd Street).

Later this week, the Tony Award-winning musical comedy Gigi will open at the Neil Simon Theatre (250 West 52nd Street), marking the Broadway debut of Vanessa Hudgens, who plays the title role. Though this is the first time that the actress has tread the boards of the Great White Way, she has been captivating audiences with her musical talents for years, having made her big break as 'Gabriella Montez in the High School Musical franchise.
