MainStreet Theatre Company presents its final show of the season - the west coast premiere of Roald Dahl's The Magic Finger. British Playwright David Wood did the adaptation, which premiered at Imagination Stage in Bethesda, MD in 2013. Mr. Wood has continued to work on the play, and MainStreet is producing a brand new version. Abigail Deser is the director. The production will play two school performances today, May 2nd, and open to the public tomorrow, Saturday, May 3rd at 4pm. The strictly limited engagement will run through Sunday, May 18th only. Guy Hepner Gallery (300 N. Robertson Blvd. West Hollywood 90048) presents 'True Love Stories', the Connor Brothers' first solo exhibition in Los Angeles, opening Friday, November 22, 2013. Following their sold out London exhibition, controversial twins Franklyn and Brendan Connor return to home soil for their highly anticipated first US solo show. Both critically and commercially successful, the twins continue their scathing and humorous exploration of relationships in the digital age. Take any painting in True Love Stories and it might make you smile; when taken as a series however, a perceptive and disturbing critique of contemporary American culture begins to appear. It is this combination of irreverence and humor on one hand and highly critical and penetrating content on the other, which has garnered the Connor Brothers such an enthusiastic international following.

MainStreet Theatre Company to Premiere AESOP IN RANCHO CUCAMONGA, 10/26-11/10

MainStreet Theatre Company has announced the first production of its 2013/2014 season, Aesop in Rancho Cucamonga, a world premiere play by Luis Alfaro and directed by Robert Castro. Now in its eighth season, MainStreet Theatre Company commissioned this adaptation of Aesop's Fables with a generous grant from the James Irvine Foundation. The production, which is also supported in part by a grant from the National Endowment for the Arts, will play two school performances on October 25 and open to the public on Saturday, October 26 at 4pm. The strictly limited engagement will run through Sunday, November 10 only.

Alliance Theatre's Max Leventhal Accepts New Position at Woodruff Arts Center

Max The Alliance Theatre announced today that General Manager Max Leventhal has accepted the position of Owners' Representative to the Woodruff Arts Center for multi-phased capital project planning, intended to transform the performance and public spaces in the campus's Memorial Arts Building. Leventhal, who has served at the Alliance Theatre for the past twelve seasons, brings a wealth of institutional knowledge and project management experience to this new position.
