NAKED BOYS SINGING, MARRY ME A LITTE & More Set for Pandora Productions' 2013-14 Season

Pandora Productions kicks off its 2013-14 season in just nine days with Naked Boys Singing!, the needs-no-explanation (but we will: audiences are gonna LOVE IT) musical originally slated for Pandora's '12-'13 season but postponed due to casting issues. But that didn't dissuade us from making this most requested of all time production - a celebration of the male body yet much, much more - happen as the hottest kickoff ever to start the season.

Frick Collection Names Tia Chapman New Deputy Director for External Affairs

The Frick Collection is pleased to welcome Tia F. Chapman as its new Deputy Director for External Affairs. Taking up the post on July 15, 2013, Chapman will oversee the Development Department in a wide range of fundraising and outreach initiatives.

Pandora Productions brings down the curtain on its 2012-13 season with a fiercely fun, campy comedy called 5 Lesbians Eating a Quiche [swear ;-)]. Set amongst the shenanigans surrounding 'The Susan B. Anthony Society for the Sisters of Gertrude Stein's' annual quiche breakfast circa Cold War-era 1956, the title alone (!) begs Kentuckiana audiences to see what The New York Times described as 'raw and magnetic dementia destined to attract a cult following.'

The Frick Collection to Serve as Final Venue for MASTERPIECES OF DUTCH PAINTING

This fall and winter, The Frick Collection will be the final venue of an American tour of paintings from the Royal Picture Gallery Mauritshuis, The Hague. This prestigious Dutch museum, which has not lent a large body of works from its holdings in nearly thirty years, is undergoing an extensive two-year renovation that makes this opportunity possible. VERMEER, REMBRANDT, AND HALS: MASTERPIECES OF DUTCH PAINTING FROM MAURITSHUIS will be on view in New York from October 22, 2013, through January 19, 2014. Among the paintings featured are the famous Girl with a Pearl Earring by Johannes Vermeer and The Goldfinch by Carel Fabritius, neither of which will have been seen by American audiences in ten years.

Dutch painter Joachim Wtewael recounts the tale in an exquisite oil on copper, executed between 1610 and 1615 that is now on loan to The Frick Collection from a private collector.

The epic story of King Henry V's battle with the French during the Hundred Years' War comes alive for the first time at the Folger Theatre, in William Shakespeare's historical drama Henry V. The production, directed by Robert Richmond (Othello and Henry VIII at the Folger), stars Zach Appelman (War Horse on Broadway) in his Folger Theatre debut as Henry V, and will run from tonight, January 22 - March 3, 2013.
