Disney Theatrical Productions will hold an open call audition for male dancers for both the Broadway and upcoming North American touring productions of Newsies, the Tony Award-winning Broadway musical smash, in Los Angeles on Saturday, February 8 at 11am at the Hollywood United Methodist Church (6817 Franklin Avenue/Los Angeles, CA 90068). This audition will be first come, first serve and is for technically-trained Equity and non-Equity male dancers between 16 - 22 years old of all ethnicities who can tap and sing well.

The Public Theater announced today that single tickets are now on sale for the 2014 spring season, beginning on February 18 with ANTONY AND CLEOPATRA, the exciting international collaboration with the Royal Shakespeare Company and GableStage in Miami. Edited and directed by MacArthur Fellow Tarell Alvin McCraney, ANTONY AND CLEOPATRA will run through Sunday, March 23, with an official press opening on Wednesday, March 5 in the Anspacher Theater.

Newsies, the Tony Award-winning "Critics' Pick" about to enter its third year on Broadway, welcomes Liana Hunt to the role of the show's leading lady Katherine Plumber, beginning Monday, February 3rd. Kara Lindsay, who created the role, will play her final performance this Sunday, February 2nd.

The world premiere of Casa Valentina, the play by four-time Tony Award winner Harvey Fierstein, directed by two-time Tony Award winner Joe Mantello, is set to begin previews on Tuesday, April 1, 2014 and open Wednesday, April 23, 2014 on Broadway at MTC's Samuel J. Friedman Theatre (261 West 47th Street). According to the New York Post, Broadway favorites Patrick Page and John Collum have just signed on to star in the play. Additional casting has not yet been announced

Original KINKY BOOTS cast member and two-time Tony nominee Stark Sands gave his final performance in the Cyndi Lauper, Harvey Fierstein, and Jerry Mitchell's Broadway hit, just yesterday, January 26. Sands will be succeeded by Andy Kelso as 'Charlie Price' on Jan. 28. In the video below, Fierstein and Billy Porter bid adieu to their friend in a special speech during the curtain call.
