Best Makes Directoral Debut With RSC's MACBETH, With Millson And Spiro

Shakespeare's classic exploration of ambition, guilt and destiny opens at the Globe on 22 June 2013, the third and final play in the Season of Plenty's trio of supernatural Shakespeares. The production features Joseph Millson and Samantha Spiro as the murderous couple at the heart of the play, with Billy Boyd as Banquo and Gawn Grainger as Duncan. Celebrated cabaret artist Bette Bourne will play the Porter.

The 2012 season at Regent's Park Open Air Theatre includes productions of RAGTIME and A MIDSUMMER NIGHT'S DREAM. Playing in repertory from tonight, 18 May through 8 September 2012, Timothy Sheader directs RAGTIME, a contemporary musical based on the novel by E.L. Hirson's Pippin. Pippin began previews on Tuesday, 22 November, opened officially last night, 7 December, and will run through 25 February, 2012. According to a report by Baz Bamigboye for UK Daily Mail, THE 25TH ANNUAL PUTNAM COUNTY SPELLING BEE is set to play the Donmar Theatre beginning February 11. Cast members include: David Flynn, Chris Carswell, Hayley Gallivan, Harry Hepple, Katherine Kingsley, Marisa Lawson, Iris Roberts and Steve Pemberton.
