This is a production where everything goes wrong (Think Noises Off meets Waiting for Guffman!) Welcome to the Dunbar Drama Society. This company is in desperate need of a fund-raiser, so they decide to partner with a new local playwright to present a production that will save their community theatre. Unfortunately, the playwright's constant interference in rehearsals, a cast of "strong personalities", and the over-worked crew, cause the director to have a difficult time keeping the production moving forward. Join us for this hilarious, mad-cap adventure that will keep you laughing from the opening curtain until someone brings down the house! Today, Buckland Theatre Company has announced casting for LUV, the company's second production at PARK90 at Park Theatre. Directed by Gary Condes, Nick Barber will play Milt, Elsie Bennett will play Ellen and Charles Dorfman will play Harry. Written by Murray Schisgal (best known for co-writing the screenplay for Tootsie), LUV premiered on Broadway in 1964 directed by Mike Nichols and was Tony nominated for Best Play and Best Author. LUV will play at PARK90 from 8 Decemberuntil 7 January with an official press night on 13 December. For 20 years, the MAD Ball has recognized visionaries in the worlds of business, arts, philanthropy, and creativity, reflecting MAD's mission to celebrate innovation and excellence across all creative disciplines. This year's Visionaries! Awards will honor design advocate, patron, and longtime MAD Trustee Charles S. Cohen; the late architect Zaha Hadid; Italian design innovator MISSONI; and conceptual artist Yinka Shonibare. Hosted by Simon Doonan, the 2016 event will bring together 500 guests, including art patrons, artists, designers, and noted corporate and civic leaders, and will introduce the Museum's new Nanette L.
