Steve lands in the middle of a media frenzy surrounding a corporate-produced hurricane. Bay Street Theater and Dan's Papers are pleased to present the rekindling of the popular 'Fireside Sessions with Nancy Atlas and a special guest' this January. Due to the snow storm, the January 7 concert with Clark Gayton was rescheduled to Sunday, January 8 at 7 pm. Ticket holders can just bring their January 7 ticket to the January 8 concert or call the box office to reschedule the tickets to either January 14, 21 or 28. This is a production where everything goes wrong (Think Noises Off meets Waiting for Guffman!) Welcome to the Dunbar Drama Society. This company is in desperate need of a fund-raiser, so they decide to partner with a new local playwright to present a production that will save their community theatre. Unfortunately, the playwright's constant interference in rehearsals, a cast of "strong personalities", and the over-worked crew, cause the director to have a difficult time keeping the production moving forward. Join us for this hilarious, mad-cap adventure that will keep you laughing from the opening curtain until someone brings down the house! Today, Buckland Theatre Company has announced casting for LUV, the company's second production at PARK90 at Park Theatre. Directed by Gary Condes, Nick Barber will play Milt, Elsie Bennett will play Ellen and Charles Dorfman will play Harry. Written by Murray Schisgal (best known for co-writing the screenplay for Tootsie), LUV premiered on Broadway in 1964 directed by Mike Nichols and was Tony nominated for Best Play and Best Author. LUV will play at PARK90 from 8 Decemberuntil 7 January with an official press night on 13 December.
