Well, the time has come; it's September. And while some may try to deny it ('Summer isn't officially over until September 22!'), all of us in the education world know it can only mean one thing-the official start of the school year. Facebook is flooded with back-to-school photos and there's a crackle of excitement in the air (soon to be displaced by groans about waking up early and homework).

Well, it all comes down to this. Four months of auditions, partnerships, All-Stars, and voting will culminate in tonight's Season 10 Finale of SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE. Tonight Mary Murphy, Cat Deeley, Nigel Lyhgoe, and an undoubtedly eclectic cast of assembled characters will announce 'America's Favorite Dancers!' This year, contemporary dancers Jasmine Harper and Amy Yakima are vying for the women's title, and hip hopper Fik-shun is hoping beyond hope that he can pull the biggest upset since the US Hockey Team beat Russia in the 1980 Winter Olympics and steal the crown from tap dancer Aaron Turner.

A universal story, uniquely told. Odyssey Theatre Ensemble presents In My Corner, a singular new play byLizbeth Hasse and Joe Orrach that works boxing, tap dance and music into the story of a street smart, wise guy Puerto Rican kid from New York City who comes of age in the ring and at the barre. Jeremiah Chechik (Benny & Joon, Diabolique) directs Orrach in an exhilarating performance that takes off to the beat of an original score by Matthew Clark, performed live on stage by Clark on piano, Eugene Warren on bass and percussionist Ronnie Gutierrez. In My Corner opened for a nine-week run at the Odyssey Theatre on Sept. 6. BroadwayWorld has a first look at the production below!

TACT/The Actors Company Theatre has announced the cast and creative team for Natural Affection by William Inge, the first production of the company's 21st Season. Directed by TACT Co-Artistic Director Jenn Thompson, performances begin at Theatre Row's Beckett Theatre (410 West 42nd Street - between 9th & 10th Avenues) on Tuesday, September 17, 2013. Opening night is set for Thursday, September 26 at 7:30pm. Performances will continue through October 26, 2013.

Something was a little off in tonight's semifinal episode of SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE. The Group Performance, which normally opens the show, was moved until after the judge's introductions, and then Cat mentioned that 'America's Favorite Dancers' would be crowned in two weeks. That doesn't make any sense, there will only be two boys and two girls left at the end of the night, are they taking a Day-After-Labor Day Holiday? Why won't Cat explain what's going on to us?

Dallas Theater Center has announced the regional premiere of Clybourne Park, running in rotating rep with A Raisin in the Sun, to launch the theater's 55th season. Clybourne Park will be directed by DTC Associate Artistic Director Joel Ferrell. Clybourne Park begins with a Pay-What-You-Can performance on Friday, October 4 and runs through Sunday, October 27 at the Dee and Charles Wyly Theatre in the AT&T Performing Arts Center.

Direct from its sold-out World Premiere at Barrington Stage Company, Dr. Ruth, All The Way will be directed by Julianne Boyd co-founder and Artistic Director of Barrington Stage Company (BSC). TheaterWorks' production will be a revised version of BSC's production starring stage, film and television actress Debra Jo Rupp (Kitty Forman on That 70's Show). Dr. Ruth, All the Way will run May 31st through July 7th, 2013.
