Producer Makoto Deguchi has announced that TRIP OF LOVE, a new dance musical spectacle inspired by and set to the biggest hit songs of the 1960s, will open this fall at the Little Shubert Theatre (422 West 42nd St). Created, directed and choreographed by James Walski, TRIP OF LOVE will begin previews in September of 2015, and will officially open in October of 2015.

Something Rotten!, the completely original new musical comedy directed and choreographed by Tony Award winner Casey Nicholaw (The Book of Mormon, Aladdin), with music and lyrics by Grammy Award winner Wayne Kirkpatrick and Golden Globe Award nominee Karey Kirkpatrick and a book by Karey Kirkpatrick and best-selling author John O'Farrell, begins performances on Broadway tonight, March 23.

Based on the 2005 British independent film of the same name which was inspired by a true story, this musical tells the story of Charlie Price, who inherits a shoe factory from his father. To save the business, Charlie forms an unlikely partnership with cabaret performer and drag queen, Lola. With Lola's help, Charlie develops a plan to produce a line of high-heeled boots. In the process, he and Lola discover that they are not so different after all.

Kinky Boots, the smash-hit musical that brings together four-time Tony Award-winner Harvey Fierstein (Book) and Grammy Award-winning rock icon Cyndi Lauper (Tony Award-winner for Best Score for Kinky Boots), opens for a two-week engagement at the Forrest Theatre on April 28 - May 10, as part of Broadway Philadelphia, presented collaboratively by the Kimmel Center for the Performing Arts and the Shubert Organization. Disney's Aladdin, the Tony Award-winning new musical comedy based on the Academy Award-winning animated film, is pleased to announce that original stars Adam Jacobs (Aladdin), Tony Award nominee Jonathan Freeman (Jafar), Tony Award winner James Monroe Iglehart (Genie) and Courtney Reed (Jasmine) have extended their contracts with the production through February 21, 2016. The four actors have led the 'sublime' (NY1) Aladdin company since its pilot production at Seattle's Fifth Avenue Theatre in the summer of 2011 and garnered critical acclaim when the Broadway production opened on March 20, 2014.

Demand is so high for the Broadway smash-hit musical Kinky Boots, playing Belk Theater March 17-22 as part of the PNC Broadway Lights, the show has already booked its return engagement for later this year.

Last night Nashville was doused with glitter and love as Kinky Boots, the Tony Award winning musical, opened at Tennessee Performing Arts Center. With a book by Harvey Fierstein and music & lyrics by Cyndi Lauper, it is easy to see why Kinky Boots swept the Tony Awards in 2013.

As staged in the six-time Tony Award-winning show, the moment is at once tremendously uncomfortable and remarkably eye-opening, making the audience squirm in their seats due to the unease and the sense of voyeuristic embarrassment they feel, as if they have come upon such a scene happening in their real lives instead of seeing it play out onstage.
