Laurel Mill Playhouse Summer Youth Production, located at 508 Main Street in historic Laurel, MD., presents Disco Inferno, book by Justin Sepple. Produced by special arrangement with MTI. Directed and produced by Patti Knazik and musically directed by Stu Knazik, this musical opens Friday, July 30. Performances run weekends through August 22. Shows are every Friday and Saturday night at 8pm except August 14 when that show is at 2pm. Every Sunday there will be a show at 2pm. There are two special Thursday performances on August 12 and August 19. Tickets are $15 for general admission, $13 for students (18 and under) and seniors (65 and over). Nearly 7,000 fans attended 2009's Istanbulive at SummerStage, making it one of the top-attended Central Park shows of the year. How best to improve on that success? According to event producers Serdar Ilhan and Mehmet Dede, by gearing the festival more toward the casual listener. Ilhan says, 'The first Istanbulive featured artists that were instantly recognizable to their indigenous audience: MFÖ, Painted on Water with Sertab Erener and Demir Demirkan and Husnu Senlendirici.
