A pair of fresh Andrew Lloyd Webber musicals, a couple of critically-acclaimed, Tony Award-winning revivals, plus Broadway's biggest hit of the century (hint: Lin-Manuel Miranda wrote it) will all be a part of the spectacular 2017-2018 Broadway season at Orange County's Segerstrom Center for the Arts in Costa Mesa. J.L. 'Lynn' Singleton, President of the Providence Performing Arts Center (PPAC), is pleased to announce PPAC's 2017/2018 Broadway Season, featuring the Taco/White Family Foundation Broadway Series and the Encore Series. The National Tour Launch of LES MISERABLES opens PPAC's 40th Anniversary Broadway Season in September and is part of the Encore Series.

On February 21st and 22nd, TV star Juan Pablo Di Pace will take the stage at New York's 54 Below with a his new show, highlighting his song and dance skills, so far seen in London and Madrid.

Direct from New York, Nederlander presents the SunTrust Broadway at DPAC, 2017 / 2018 Season. Aptly named "Ten Great Years" to mark the tenth great year of bringing New York's best Broadway shows to the Triangle, the new season features many of Broadway's recent top-ten shows, along with brand new North American tours made famous in London's West End and Australia.

The Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts of Miami-Dade County is proud to announce its 12th season of showcasing Broadway's greatest hits in the Ziff Ballet Opera House with a five-show subscription package that is power-packed with musical blockbusters. The 2017-2018 Broadway in Miami season includes two anticipated South Florida premieres - ON YOUR FEET! (October 5 - 15, 2017), kicking off its first national tour at the Arsht Center, and THE BODYGUARD (April 3 - 8, 2018).

Nederlander, Estefan Enterprises, Inc and Bernie Yuman have just announced a 31-city First National Tour this fall of the hit Broadway musical ON YOUR FEET! - based on the life story of seven-time GRAMMY® winning international superstar Gloria Estefan and her husband, 19-time GRAMMY® winning producer-musician-entrepreneur Emilio Estefan.

Singer & songwriter Carmen Perez is releasing her new music EP “Space Girl” January 5, 2017. The EP touches on Scandinavian pop while channeling Carmen's Puerto Rican rhythmic heritage.

THE BODYGUARD, based on the eponymous film starring Whitney Houston as pop star Rachel Marron and Kevin Costner as her bodyguard Frank Farmer, has plenty of glitz and glamour to go around in its current engagement at Broadway In Chicago's Oriental Theatre. Throughout the night, lead Deborah Cox shines as Rachel in a never-ending array of glittery costumes from Tim Hatley (who also designed the set). And when Cox tears into one of Houston's classic numbers, it's also a joy.

Tom Petty will be honored as the 2017 MusiCares Person of the Year in celebration of his extraordinary creative accomplishments and significant charitable work. Proceeds from the annual Person of the Year tribute—now in its 27th year—provide essential support for MusiCares, which ensures music people have a place to turn in times of financial, medical, and personal need.

Today, producers of the smash-hit musical ON YOUR FEET! announced that Original Broadway Cast member Doreen Montavlo (In the Heights, Giant, Flashdance the Musical) will take over the role of Gloria Fajardo - Gloria Estefan's mother - on Tuesday, February 7, 2017.

Acclaimed box office star, producer and humanitarian Richard Gere will open the 34th edition of Miami Dade College's Miami Film Festival on March 3, 2017, followed by an Opening Night Gala screening of his new film, Norman: The Moderate Rise and Tragic Fall of a New York Fixer, directed by 2-time Oscar-nominated Israeli filmmaker Joseph Cedar, with the KORBEL Opening Night Party to follow at Miami's Historic Alfred I. Dupont Building.

All prized have been awarded, afterparties been celebrated and tuxedo's and dresses safely stowed for next year: in short, it's time to look back at this year's Musical Awards Ceremony! With lots of amazing performances, emotional speeches and lots of happy winners, it sure is a night to remember!
