Public booking for Disney and Cameron Mackintosh's new production of Mary Poppins will open at 10am GMT on 28 January 2019. The musical, based on the stories of P. L. Travers and the original film, returns to its original West End home at the Prince Edward Theatre after fifteen years. Mary Poppins will begin previews on 23 October 2019 with opening night on 13 November and initially go on sale until 29 March 2020.

Last week saw the gala performance of THE WIND IN THE WILLOWS at Trinity Theatre, Tunbridge Wells. The audience was filled with volunteers and community leaders from the local area, as well as the theatre sponsors and press. Get a sneak peak of the new production photographs below!

Final casting is announced today for the return of SIX, the hit musical by recent Cambridge grads Toby Marlow and Lucy Moss. SIX returns to the Arts Theatre in the West End, where it ran for a short, sold out season in 2018.

The National Alliance for Musical Theatre kicks off their Fall Events week with Thank You, 30!, a gala event to be held on Monday, October 22nd at Guastavino's (409 East 59th Street) celebrating the 30th Annual Festival of New Musicals. The benefit gala will honor Marleen & Kenny Alhadeff and New World Stages. Camp Broadway LLC is pleased to announce that the company has formed an alliance with T School, a prestigious, private International School in Beijing, to introduce musical theatre to their students from around the world. The season runs April 2018-March 2019 at Drury Lane Theatre, 100 Drury Lane in Oakbrook Terrace.

Paul Hart, Artistic Director of The Watermill Theatre, has announced that Sarah Travis, Caroline Sheen, Barney Norris, Tom Jackson Greaves, Tarek Merchant, Katie Lias and Sophie Stone will join the West Berkshire producing theatre as Associate Artists.

P. L. Travers Mary Poppins magical nanny character was first published in 1934 and resulted in a series of eight children's books that ended in 1988. MARY POPPINS is a stage musical that uses the most iconic songs of the Sherman Brothers, with additional music and lyrics by George Stiles and Anthony Drewe, and a script by Julian Fellowes. The musical is a hybrid of Travers children's books and the 1964 Disney film, which fuses various elements from the two. I have some serious issues with the script, which I intend to discuss, but director Ron Watson and his talented cadre of technical artists produce pure 60's Disney magic.
