Connecticut Repertory Theatre (CRT) presents a revival of Neil Simon's 1965 comedy classic THE ODD COUPLE starring Wheel of Fortune's Pat Sajak and veteran TV news anchorman Joe Moore -- real life friends since their tour of duty in Vietnam. Performances began June 21 at The Harriet S. Jorgensen Theatre at Connecticut Repertory Theatre, directed by Vincent J. Cardinal. Director and actor Natalija Nogulich has been named as director for the Chicago premiere of songwriter Spider Saloff's one-woman musical, THE ROAR OF THE BUTTERFLY, to be presented by KMP Artists at Victory Gardens' Richard Christiansen Theater May 2 - 20, 2012. In the tradition of Lilly Tomlin and Tracey Ullman, Saloff portrays eight different characters in this new musical comedy.

In 1985, three former teen idols-all from the same Philadelphia neighborhood-teamed for a concert titled The Golden Boys, which not only satisfied fans from their teen era by performing their hits, but illustrated that good singing and stage presence never go out of style. Frankie Avalon, Fabian & Bobby Rydell, "The Golden Boys" from American Bandstand's heyday, have appeared together on such major TV specials as "The American Music Awards," the closing ceremonies of the "Miss Liberty Special" (viewed by over 200 million people) and the ABC Inaugural special "Command Performance: An All-Star Salute To The President."

TV Land announced that Tony(R) award-winning actress Marissa Jaret Winokur (Broadway's 'Hairspray') is joining the cast of the network's original comedy series, 'Retired at 35' when the series begins production today, Thursday, November 3. The sitcom will return to the air with 10 new episodes starting Spring 2012.

Road Less Traveled Productions' (RLTP's) Emanuel Fried New Play Workshop (NPW) today announced a set of special benefit readings of Love Letters , the highly popular play by RLTP's 2012 American Theatre Master, Buffalo native A.R. Gurney. The readings will be presented at 7:30PM on two consecutive nights, Friday, August 12 th and Saturday, August 13 th , at the Road Less Traveled Theater (RLTT) in the Market Arcade Film & Arts Centre, in Downtown Buffalo. The readings benefit the NPW, an integral component of RLTP's mission to develop and produce plays by Western New York (WNY) writers.

TV Land Picks Up Three New Sitcoms

TV Land announced today that the network is moving forward with three sitcoms - two new series and a renewal for 'Retired at 35.' These series join 'Hot in Cleveland' which is now up to a 24 episode order for season three. These pick-ups take TV Land from zero to four scripted sitcoms within less than a year's time, along with several additional sitcoms in development.
