The Headlong, Nottingham Playhouse and Almeida Theatre five star production of 1984 must end its limited run at the Playhouse Theatre on 5 September 2015. Following hugely successful runs at the Almeida and in the West End last year, two national tours and prior to a forthcoming international tour, 1984 has been revived to continued success at the Playhouse Theatre this summer.
WOWOW Teams with IPC for Para-Athletes Sports Documentary Series

WOWOW today announced they have greenlighted a para-athletes sports documentary series, in collaboration with the International Paralympic Committee (IPC), as part of a five-year agreement leading up to the Tokyo 2020 Paralympic Games.

Steppenwolf for Young Adults (SYA) is pleased to announce casting for the first production of its 2015/16 season, George Orwell's 1984, adapted by Andrew White and directed by SYA Artistic and Educational Director Hallie Gordon. Gordon, who directed last season's sold-out production of Animal Farm, brings Orwell's dystopian masterpiece to the stage in a cutting edge, multi-media production with projection design by Joseph A. Burke and photography direction by Joel Moorman.

Matthew Spencer will play the role of George Orwell's Winston Smith in the hit West End stage production of 1984 this summer. Steppenwolf for Young Adults (SYA) is pleased to launch its 2015/16 season with George Orwell's 1984, adapted by Andrew White, directed by SYA Artistic and Educational Director Hallie Gordon, who directed last season's critically acclaimed production of George Orwell's Animal Farm. White received a 2004 Joseph Jefferson Award for Best Adaptation for George Orwell's 1984. The season concludes with the world premiere of The Compass, devised and directed by Michael Rohd. The Compass is an interactive experience that explores the intersection of technology and decision-making.

Due to unforeseen circumstances, BRITANNIA WAVES THE RULES has pulled out of the 2015 Brits Off Broadway festival at 59E59 Theaters. Replacing the show is Godlight Theatre Company's production of COOL HAND LUKE, an adaptation of Donn Pearce's searing novel. This production is not part of Brits Off Broadway. COOL HAND LUKE is adapted for the stage by Emma Reeves and directed by Joe Tantalo. COOL HAND LUKE begins performances on Tuesday, May 5 for a limited engagement through Sunday, May 31. Press opening is Thursday, May 7 at 7:15 PM. The performance schedule is Tuesday - Thursday at 7:15 PM; Friday at 8:15 PM; Saturday at 2:15 PM & 8:15 PM; and Sunday at 3:15 PM.
