Angelo Lopes' Wastelander has just completed a week long theatrical run, in Hollywood. Now, Wastelander is set to show on Digital platforms, this month. The film blends several genres together: action, sci-fi and horror. Influenced by films such as George Miller's Mad Max (1979), The Bad Batch (2016)  and others, Wastelander stars: Brendan Guy Murphy, Jon Proudstar and Carol Cardenas. The Santa Barbara International Film Festival announced today that Barry Jenkins, Damien Chazelle, Denis Villeneuve, and Kenneth Lonergan will receive the 2017 Outstanding Directors of the Year Award.

The Santa Barbara International Film Festival announced today that Barry Jenkins, Damien Chazelle, Denis Villeneuve, and Kenneth Lonergan will receive the 2017 Outstanding Directors of the Year Award. They will each be celebrated individually for their films Moonlight, La La Land, Arrival, and Manchester by the Sea respectively.  The individual honors will be followed by a joint conversation between the directors on their craft and the landscape of modern day filmmaking.  The ceremony will take place on Tuesday, February 7th at the historic Arlington Theatre.

Ozflix, a new video-on-demand service dedicated to streaming every Australian film ever made, is set to launch at 6:00pm on Australia Day, 26th January, 2017.

"3-D Auteurs," a 19-day, 34-film festival spotlighting stereoscopic movies by some of history's most distinguished directors, will run at Film Forum from Friday, November 11 through Tuesday, November 29. The festival spans 3-D's earliest days (including some turn-of-the-century films by pioneer Georges Melies) to the present, and represents virtually every genre, including Westerns, Film Noir, and Science Fiction.

It's all good news today at the Music Box Theare... and we aren't just talking about Audra McDonald's pregnancy. It was also announced that during Ms. McDonald's hiatus from the production, Savion Glover, SHUFFLE ALONG's Tony Award-nominated choreographer, and widely considered to be the world's greatest living tap dancer, will step into the show, as envisioned by the Director and Book writer, George C. Wolfe.

The full programme has today been announced for the inaugural FRAME London Dance Film Festival. The vast programme of films and events is to take place from 9 to 12 June 2016 in Kingston-upon-Thames, London. Presented by the UK's pioneering dance company BalletBoyz in association with dancescreen, the festival is set to offer a unique opportunity to enjoy the best creative talent in dance and film to the general public, as well engaging broadcasters, video artists and choreographers. Over the three days, there are over 122 films screening with 11 World Premieres, 8 International, 4 European and 28 UK Premieres amongst the new work. These will be presented alongside classic films for all ages led by a celebration of Gene Kelly, dance performances and outdoor and family activities at various venues across the town.

Linzi Hateley returns to the role of Donna Sheridan in the global smash hit musical MAMMA MIA! at London's Novello Theatre from Monday 13 June 2016.  This is a role she has played twice before in London - from 2007-2009 and in 2010.  Her other recent theatre credits include the national tour of Barnum, London Road (National Theatre) and Les Miserables (Queen's Theatre).  Linzi also appeared in the film version of London Road.
