The Guthrie Theater and The Acting Company (TAC) reunite for a third year, presenting The Comedy of Errors, the hilarious tale of double mistaken identities, in repertory with Romeo and Juliet, Shakespeare's classic romance about star-crossed lovers, January 8 - 30, on the McGuire Proscenium Stage.

Bernard Gersten, Executive Producer of Lincoln Center Theater (LCT) will receive the John Houseman Award for his work at Lincoln Center and as Joseph Papp's Associate Producer of The New York Shakespeare Festival (NYSF) at The Acting Company's Masquerade Gala on Monday, November 22 at The Pierre Hotel, New York City. Tom Viola, Executive Director of Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS (BC/EFA), will also be honored with the Joan Warburg Humanitarian Award for his leadership and advocacy in the fight against AIDS. Kelsey Grammer and Patti LuPone will entertain as Angela Lansbury, Marian Seldes, Elizabeth Wilson, Campbell Scott, Dana Ivey, Shubert's Philip Smith and Robert Wankel, Jujamcyn's Paul Libin, Equity's Nick Wyman, The Actors Fund's Joe Benecasa and The Broadway League's Charlotte St. Martin join the salute.

Joe Dowling of the Guthrie Theater and Margot Harley of The Acting Company have announced an expanded touring season beginning and ending in New York. This will be the third joint tour for the two TONY-winning theaters and will feature co-productions of Shakespeare's ROMEO AND JULIET directed by Penny Metropulos in repertory with THE COMEDY OF ERRORS, directed by Ian Belknap. Ms. Metropulos has directed at Oregon Shakespeare Festival for 19 years; Mr. Belknap, Associate Artistic Director of The Acting Company, has apprenticed under several master directors including Mark Lamos and Doug Hughes.

BACKWARDS IN HIGH HEELS plays in Tucson at the Temple of Music and Art from September 10 through October 2. Multi-faceted comedian and actor Eddie Izzard and multiple award-winning actress Frances Conroy will guest star on the SHOWTIME series UNITED STATES OF TARA. Izzard will appear in eight episodes and Conroy in one episode of the third season opposite Toni Collette, last year's Emmy(R) Award winner and this year's Emmy(R) nominee for her role as Tara Gregson, a wife and mother who struggles with Dissociative Identity Disorder (DID). Izzard will play Tara's brilliant psychology professor who is at first a DID skeptic, but becomes fascinated with Tara as a subject, leading him to further explore the condition. Conroy will star as Max Gregson's (John Corbett) mother, a recluse with a compulsive hoarding problem. Production on season three begins mid-September in Los Angeles for a 2011 premiere.
