On Monday, November 23 at 9:30 pm, Jim Caruso's Cast Party the weekly event held at Birdland, 315 West 44th Street (bet 8th & 9th Ave) will open with a special celebration / book release party for 'Forbidden Broadway: Behind the Mylar Curtain'. Creator Gerard Alessandrini will be performing along with Nora Mae Lyng, the show's other original cast member; as well as some of FB stalwarts Michael West, Christina Bianco, and Gina Kreiezmar, with longtime pianist David Caldwell.

Winners of DRAMA DESK AWARDS for the 2007/2008 New York theater season will receive their engraved trophies at a cocktail reception in their honor on Tuesday, July 22, 2008, from 4:00 to 6: 30 PM, at Tony's DiNapoli Restaurant, 147 W. 43rd St, it was announced by Robert R. The cast of Broadway's 'Spring Awakening' visited the 25th Anniversary production of Forbidden Broadway, 'Rude Awakening' on Monday, January 28. Both casts had a laugh meeting their spoofed and real-life counter-parts.

Dai (enough) returns to the NY stage written and preformed by Iris Bahr. Dai premiered last season at The Culture Project, after which it played a sold-out month-long engagement at the Edinburgh Theatre Festival in August. In addition to receiving two 2007 NY Drama Desk Award nominations, including Best Solo Performance, and a UK Stage Award nomination for Best Solo Performance at this year's Edinburgh Festival, Ms. Bahr played an invitation-only performance of Dai in May for more than 100 U.N. Ambassadors and Diplomats at the personal request of Israeli UN Ambassador, Dan Gillermann.

Forbidden Broadway: Rude Awakening, currently celebrating its 25th Anniversary, is adding performances Tuesday, Nov. 13 at 8:15 PM and Wednesday, Nov. 14 at 8:15 PM with the regular performance schedule

While conflict may continue just blocks away, there is one show, Dai (enough), that shows the human side of another important conflict issue (the Middle East), with previews starting tonight.
