Rufus Norris Announces New Work for the National Theatre in 2017

New work by Inua Ellams, Ya?l Farber, DC Moore, Lindsey Ferrentino and Nina Raine is announced today by Rufus Norris, Director of the National Theatre. Four world premieres and two European premieres are further announced as forthcoming productions for the National Theatre in 2017.

Andrew Lloyd Webber today announces plans for The Other Palace, the newest addition to The Really Useful Theatres Group. The Other Palace is situated less than 100 yards from Buckingham Palace and close to the Victoria Palace, hence its name.

Children's Touring Partnership is delighted to announce, on Elephant Appreciation Day (22 September), the first UK Tour of RUNNING WILD by Michael Morpurgo in an adaptation by Samuel Adamson, at Wolverhampton Grand Theatre from Tuesday 6 - Sat 10 June 2017. Tickets will be on general sale from Thursday 6 October.

Children's Touring Partnership is delighted to announce, on Elephant Appreciation Day (22 September), the first UK Tour of Running Wild by Michael Morpurgo in an adaptation by Samuel Adamson, beginning at Chichester Festival Theatre on 10 February 2017. Michael Morpurgo's novel, based on a true story, is brought to life in this award-winning production, which has been described by critics as 'inspiring', 'evocative, 'imaginative' and 'life-affirming'. Originally produced by Regent's Park Theatre and Chichester Festival Theatre, this epic production, complete with spectacular life-size puppets, tells an emotional and moving story of love, loss and loyalty and of living for the moment.

Forthcoming productions at the National Theatre, announced today by Nicholas Hytner, include plays familiar, rare and new: Shakespeare's Othello, Gorky's Children of the Sun,James Baldwin's The Amen Corner;Marlowe's Edward II, Pirandello's Liola, Eugene O'Neill's Strange Interlude and Georg Kaiser's From Morning to Midnight.
