Martin Moran returns to Monty Python's SPAMALOT on January 6. SPAMALOT is running at the Shubert Theater.
Moran will take the place of 'American Idol' finalist Clay Aiken in the role of Sir Robin. Aiken's last performance was on Jan. 4th.

Monty Python's SPAMALOT, the funniest musical in the universe, will begin its final week of performances tomorrow at the Shubert Theatre (225 West 44th Street). The show will end its reign on Broadway Sunday, January 11 following the evening performance, after 1,574 performances (and 35 previews).

Python fans are to be offered the opportunity to bid for iconic items from the hit West End musical, Monty Python's SPAMALOT as the show concludes its run in the West End.
Amongst the items up for auction are the Holy Grail which has adorned the front of the Palace Theatre since the show opened, the infamous killer rabbit with nasty pointy teeth, a Knight of Ni and French Taunter costume and in a paean to the expletive a 13 metres by 9.5 metres painted back cloth featuring the words ?Piss Off'.

Clay's debut on Broadway earlier this year was met with wild enthusiasm from both his legion of fans and the New York press. The New York Times is reporting that Eric Idle is guiding the drive to officially take Monty Python to the Internet.The creation is called, Pythonline.com, it is a social network and digital playground, offers clips of old material that people can use to make mash-ups, perhaps inserting their own pet in the killer-rabbit scene from 'Monty Python and the Holy Grail.'
