CHAPLIN, a new musical depicting the life of film icon Charlie Chaplin, with music and lyrics by Christopher Curtis and book by three-time Tony Award-winner Thomas Meehan (Annie, The Producers, Hairspray) and Christopher Curtis, will open on Broadway on Monday, September 10, 2012 at the Barrymore Theatre (243 West 47th Street). Previews will begin Tuesday, August 21, 2012. Acclaimed director/choreographer Warren Carlyle (Finian's Rainbow, Hugh Jackman, Back on Broadway) directs and choreographs the production. Casting and additional creative team to be announced soon.
Stevie Wonder to Receive 'Icon Award' at 2012 BILLBOARD MUSIC AWARDS

Singer, songwriter, musician and producer Stevie Wonder will receive the 2012 Billboard Icon Award. An all-star tribute to him, along with the award, will be presented at the '2012 BILLBOARD MUSIC AWARDS,' hosted by Julie Bowen and Ty Burrell, which airs live from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas on SUNDAY, MAY 20 (8:00-11:00 p.m., ET) on the ABC Television Network.

In its 15th year, THE LION KING remains ascendant, recently becoming the highest-grossing Broadway show in history. Since its Broadway premiere on November 13, 1997, 19 productions around the globe have been seen by more than 64 million people, grossed over $4.8 billion and, cumulatively, run a staggering 91 years. Produced by Disney Theatrical Productions (under the direction of Thomas Schumacher), THE LION KING is the sixth longest running musical in Broadway history and only the second show to produce five productions running 10 or more years.

Riverfront Theater, Chicago's newest entertainment destination, welcomes - direct from Dublin - The Twelve Tenors. The five-day production is the first of a series of summer programming in the 70-foot tall, 22,000 square foot temperature-controlled tent along the scenic Chicago River. Joining The Twelve Tenors, as the Thirteenth Tenor, on opening night, May 30, is Chicago's own TV personality and host of the wildly popular radio show, "Mr. Fix It," is Lou Manfredini. Manfredini will sing several songs with the famous group throughout the evening.
