A haunting American classic, THE TRIP TO BOUNTIFUL marks the first Cleveland Play House production of a work by Pulitzer Prize- and Academy Award-winner Horton Foote, and the world-premiere performance of this play by an African-American cast. Receiving the blessing of Hallie Foote, daughter of the playwright, this co-production with Round House Theatre is helmed by Timothy Douglas and stars preeminent African-American actress Lizan Mitchell as Carrie Watts. THE TRIP TO BOUNTIFUL begins in the Drury Theatre at Cleveland Play House on Friday, February 4 and runs through Sunday, February 27, 2011. Ian Rickson's production of Lillian Hellman's The Children's Hour is now taking bookings at the Comedy Theatre until 30 April (and not 2 April as previously announced). The Children's Hour first preview on 22 January and press night on 9 February 2011 remain as originally published.

Ellen Burstyn and Carol Kane as well as Bryony Hannah and Tobias Menzies are to join the previously announced Keira Knightley and Elisabeth Moss in Ian Rickson's production of Lillian Hellman's The Children's Hour. The Children's Hour, produced by Sonia Friedman Productions & Scott Landis, will have its first preview at the Comedy Theatre on 22 January 2011 with press night on 9 February and is booking until 2 April 2011.

According to a report by Baz Bamigboye for UK Daily Mail, Ellen Burstyn and Carol Kane are in talks to star in the upcoming West End production of The Children's Hour. Ian Rickson is set to direct the production, while Keira Knightley and Elisabeth Moss are attached to the project as well.

Greetings Dear Readers from New York. It's Day 3 here and I'm having a wonderful time. Now I know what you're thinking. "Day 3?! Whatever happened to Day 2?"No you haven't missed an installment. The show I saw on Day 2 has not officially opened yet and out of respect, we cannot publish reviews of shows still in previews. The play is "After the Revolution" and it opens next week. THE MOTHERF**KER WITH THE HAT by Stephen Adly Guirgis will make its world premiere on Broadway starring Bobby Cannavale, Chris Rock, Elizabeth Rodriguez, Annabella Sciorra and Yul Vázquez. Directed by Anna D. Shapiro, the production will open on Monday, April 11, 2011 at the Gerald Schoenfeld Theatre (236 West 45th Street, New York City). The strictly limited 14-week engagement will begin previews on Tuesday, March 22, 2011.

Michael Riedel reports in today's New York Post that Chris Rock is set to make his Broadway debut, opposite Bobby Cannavale, Elizabeth Rodriguez, Annabela Sciorra and Yul Vazquez. The play, but Stephen Adly Guirgis is called 'The Motherf***er With the Hat' aka 'Hat'.
