Kansas City Ballet Artistic Director Devon Carney today announced the appointment of six new members, Kelsey Hellebuyck, Emily Mistretta, Gustavo Ribeiro, Amaya Rodriguez, James Rogers, Kevin Wilson, and three new apprentices, Ivan Braatz, Sarah Joan Smith, and Katherine Sawicki to the Kansas City Ballet Company.

Texas Performing Arts presents a vocal-infused double bill featuring Grammy Award®-winning ensemble Roomful of Teeth and an encore performance of Mozart Requiem Undead by Panoramic Voices (formerly the Texas Choral Consort and Orchestra) along with Austin-based vocal ensemble Convergence. The evening will also feature the world premiere of Caleb Burhans' Tired Tropes for Battered Souls, which has been commissioned by Texas Performing Arts and KMFA-FM.
San Francisco Ballet to Welcome New Company Members and Promotions!

Effective immediately, San Francisco Ballet announces six promotions, five new Company members, and five apprentices for the 2017 Season. Soloist Carlo Di Lanno has been promoted to principal dancer and Francisco Mungamba, Julia Rowe, Wei Wang, and WanTing Zhao have been promoted to soloist. In addition, former SF Ballet Apprentice Blake Kessler has been appointed a member of the corps de ballet. New members of the Company's corps de ballet include Ludmila Bizalion, Elizabeth Mateer, and Natasha Sheehan; Angelo Greco joins as a soloist and Aaron Robison as a principal dancer. Alexandre Cagnat, Shene Lazarus, Davide Occhipinti, Nathaniel Remez, and Isabella Walsh of the SF Ballet School Trainee Program have been promoted to the rank of apprentice.

Funny, intelligent, and profoundly moving, Amy Herzog's play 4000 MILES---now on stage at South Coast Repertory in Costa Mesa through November 17---is a bittersweet, emotionally rich play filled with heart-tugging situations and amusing true-to-life moments between a grandmother and her grandson. Directed by David Emmes and featuring an outstanding performance by TV/Stage vet Jenny O'Hara, Herzog's stirring play feels mostly like a well-paced collection of interesting conversations that we just happen to eavesdrop on like proverbial flies on a wall.
WICKED Breaks Records in South Bend

From May 8th thru the 19th, WICKED bewitched more than 36,000 patrons at The Morris Theatre, broke box office records with a record gross of $2.7 million dollars and became South Bend's most successful touring Broadway Show. The 16 performances resulted in standing ovations from the audiences, but also had a larger impact on the local community.
