According to Artistic Director/Producer Tony Waag, Tap Treasures Showcase "reinvestigates and revisits eight historic locations in Manhattan that contributed to the evolution of tap dance." The hour-long show was performed at The Duke on 42nd Street on Thursday, July 14, 2016.

It's Always Something is a once a year special event in Toronto that raises money for Gilda's Club, an incredibly important charity that honours the memory of the late Gilda Radner by providing a place for those suffering from cancer to go to escape, to laugh and to connect with others. Co-produced by Rick Muller and Fred Levy, this year's show featured Corey Hart's return to a Canadian stage, as well as Matt Dusk, Nikki Yanofsky, Colin Mochrie and more. It was hosted by the incredibly funny Ron James, and BWW is thrilled to bring readers photos from the red carpet and the show.
New Yiddish Rep to Stage First-Ever Production of WAITING FOR GODOT in Yiddish, 9/20-10/13

The New Yiddish Rep is staging the first-ever production of Samuel Beckett's "Waiting for Godot" in Yiddish. In an unusual collaboration with the Castillo Theatre, 543 West 42nd Street, where the world premiere runs from Friday September 20 to Sunday October 13, diverse audiences will see this seismic landmark of the modern theatre in an entirely new light. Directed by Moshe Yassur, with an authorized translation by Shane Baker, the production marks the 60th anniversary of "Waiting for Godot's" Paris premiere in January of 1953. This "Waiting for Godot" opens on Sunday September 22 at 2pm.

Moritz, Jr. brought together a melange of Broadway's most impressive young talent for WHEN I GROW UP: BROADWAY'S NEXT GENERATION, a cabaret concert at 54 BELOW. Kenny Howard says that this group inspired him 'not only with their talents but also with a maturity that is far beyond their years.' For this cabaret concert, the children tackle the adult repertoire of their heroes, taking on music from SPRING AWAKENING, THE DROWSY CHAPERONE, THE LAST FIVE YEARS, AVENUE Q, [TITLE OF SHOW], and more.

Chicago Human Rhythm Project (CHRP) presents its resident ensemble BAM! performing a world premiere by 2012 Princess Grace Award winner Michelle Dorrance, commissioned by the Auditorium Theatre of Roosevelt University as part of its debut MUSIC + MOVEMENT FESTIVAL. The program, which takes place Thursday, April 4 at 6 p.m. at the Katten/Landau Studio at 425 S. Wabash, also features works by Chicago native and Broadway star Ted Levy, CHRP Founder Lane Alexander and BAM! member Kristi Burris, as well as live music by the Greg Spero Trio and Chicago jazz vocalist Tressa Thomas.
Executive Producer of Documentary 'Revelations of the Mayans 2012 and Beyond' Wins Arbitration

3Much has been written about financier and producer Elisabeth Thieriot's battles with Raul Julia-Levy over the ownership of a documentary about the Mayans. The war is now over and the victory has gone to Thieriot as the result of an International Film and Television Association (IFTA) arbitration award. IFTA Arbitrator Gerald Phillips, after a thorough review of all the documentary and testimonial evidence presented during the arbitration proceeding, has awarded Thieriot 'the right, title and interest in all footage' and ruled that Levy 'is not to possess or exploit' the footage in any way.

It's the Semi-Finals of the 84th (or so) season of DANCING WITH THE STARS; one contestant is just performances away from landing a week-long circuit on daytime talk-shows before departing from the public-eye for another decade or so. And by this point, it only comes around to reinforce that DANCING is an actual competition, and not just a golden ticket for a six-minute segment on LIVE WITH KELLY.
