New York, NY - CreateTheater, under the artistic direction of Off-Broadway producer Cate Cammarata in association with The Prism Stage Company, have announced the 2023 New Works Festival Awards from their annual New Works Festival that ran from May 23rd to June 11th at Theater Row.

After a celebrated first season, IndieWorks Theatre Company has announced that 12-time award-winning mini-musical radio play series Bite-Sized Broadway is accepting second season submissions of new mini-musical works for four weeks beginning Monday, February 6 through Sunday, March 5, 2023. 

CreateTheater, under the artistic direction of Off-Broadway producer-director-dramaturg Cate Cammarata in association with Prism Stage Company, today announced the 2022 New Works Festival Awards from their first new theater festival that ran from April 15th to May 15th at Theater Row (410 West 42nd Street).

With the additions of Yasuhiko Fukuoka (Music Supervisor/Arranger) and Lauren Robinson (Jackie), the full team for the first industry reading of the brand-new musical Sensation is set. The reading will take place on Thursday June 9, 2022 at Ripley-Grier Studios in New York City.

Theatrical licensor Music Theatre International (MTI) announced an agreement with Theatre Now New York, an artist service organization dedicated to the development of new works, to represent and license 25 short musicals from its collection beginning in early 2021.

Theatre Now has annouced the November 1st release of The 10-Minute Musical, an Anthology from the SOUND BITES Festival. The first ever anthology of 10-minute musicals, the book features 25 complete musicals and is a resource for educators, producers, theatre enthusiasts, and anyone interested in the musical theatre form. IndieWorks Theatre Company has announced the first season of its new podcast, Bite-Sized Broadway, a Mini-Musical Podcast. The first season features ten 50-minute episodes that showcase fully-produced, digitally-orchestrated 'mini-musicals' followed by in-depth conversations with our 18 writers from around the globe. Writers will have the opportunity to share about their process, careers, and current and upcoming works. The first episode will premiere on Monday, October 5, with new episodes on the first and third Monday of each month.

AMONG THE FURIES, written & directed by DAVID SCALA, took home the top playwriting prize Tuesday night at New York City's Hudson Guild Theatre, during the New York Summerfest Theater Festival's closing night award ceremony. The professional Centenary Stage Company (CSC) is accepting enrollment into their Dance Conservatory courses for the 2017 fall semester.
