Organizers of the GI Film Festival San Diego are thrilled to announce a diverse film lineup for its annual event happening May 17-21, 2022 at the Museum of Photographic Arts (MOPA) in Balboa Park. The film festival is dedicated to presenting films and events for, by and about military and veterans, and is set to return to in-person screenings for the first time since 2019. The online box office will open on April 1 at GIFilmFestivalSD.org.

In honor of Veterans Day, Jefferson Performing Arts Society will present a “tour de force” solo performance by Douglas Taurel based on letters from soldiers from the American Revolution to Afghanistan. 

On November 11, 2018 (Veterans Day), Douglas Taurel, actor and creator of the acclaimed solo show The American Soldier, will perform his new play An Americans Soldier's Journey Home at the Hoboken Museum in Hoboken, NJ at 4 pm.

On May 26th, at 2 pm, Douglas Taurel, actor, and creator of the acclaimed solo show The American Soldier will perform his second one man show An Americans Soldier's Journey Home at the Library of Congress in Washington, DC. The performance will be held in the Library's Coolidge Auditorium, Ground Floor, Thomas Jefferson Building, 10 First Street SE, Washington, DC at 2pm.
