Festival Of Chaos presented a classic play, THE BACCHAE, up-dated and re-imagined and directed by Royal & Derngate's Artistic Director, Laurie Sansom. Staged in the striking setting of a disused print works in the town centre, The Bacchae runs from Friday 18 May to Saturday 30 June and takes to the Royal stage from Friday 25 May to Saturday 30 June. Festival of Chaos is part of the London 2012 Festival. We have a first look at the production shots below!

Today, May 14, 2012 independent label SimG Records releases the Original Cast Recording of A Song Cycle For Soho, a project created for Mercury Musical Developments members to practice their song writing skills, followed by a showcase presented at Soho Theatre during Feb/March 2012.

Irvine Welsh's classic novel Trainspotting, which in 1996 was adapted as both a feature film by Academy Award-winning director Danny Boyle and a play by Harry Gibson, will come to the Chicago stage in October in a new American adaptation of Gibson's play. This new version of Welsh's graphic and uncompromising story of young heroin addicts living in Edinburgh, Scotland has been re-imagined and set in Kansas City, Missouri.
