The Jose Iturbi Foundation is once again, a proud sponsor of the LA Philharmonic, featuring this year's concert at the Hollywood Bowl conducted by Gustavo Dudamel with piano soloist Yuja Wang, in what was a "historic performance," as noted in Mark Sved's LA Times review.

The Hollywood Museum will once again proudly present the annual "Celebration of Entertainment Awards" exhibit, which will include nominees and winners from this season's entertainment awards shows. Featured in this exhibit are costumes, props, posters and iconic images from current nominated and award winning film and television shows including Trumbo, The Danish Girl, Peanuts, The Big Short, Inside Out, Brooklyn, as well as Orange is the New Black, The Good Wife, Walking Dead, Mad Men, Transparent and House of Lies, to name a few. 

Almost 80 students from The Dolores Mission School gathered for a wonderful opportunity to visit Hollywood and tour the recently decorated Hollywood Museum, enjoy the beautiful holiday decorations by Dr Christmas (Bob Pranga), as well as hear inspirational stories with interesting messages from local politicians and personalities. Fans and friends were on hand for the unveiling of original artwork by UK famed street artist, PEGASUS (aka James X), as he made his American Debute. Among those in attendance were Barry Livingston and Ruta Lee of 'The Lucy Show,' who were on hand to pay homage to their former colleague, Queen of comedy - Lucille Ball, while TV Film actor/Fitness Expert and Body Builder, Roland Kickinger, was admittedly there for dream girl, Marilyn Monroe and film siren, Bette Davis, whom Hollywood Producer Jackie Goldberg (aka The Pink Lady)

For two decades, the Jose© Iturbi Foundation (www.joseiturbifoundation.org) has fulfilled his mission by sponsoring blockbuster concerts and international musical competitions, showcasing professional classical music artists in the making.

Hollywood, CA -- The Hollywood Museum, the official museum of Hollywood located in the Historic Max Factor Building, rings in the holidays with 'Lights, Camera, 'Holly'- wood,' a unique tribute to the holidays - Hollywood Style. The holiday trees and extensive tinsel town decor are created by Dr. Christmas (Bob Pranga and Debi Staron), known as the celebrity holiday and special event designers to the stars. The exhibit will be on display through January 5, 2014.

Among the guests attending the opening night gala for the West Coast theatrical premiere of 'Marylin ... MADNESS & Me' were those who worked with the plays subject matter, Marilyn Monroe, such as Dawn Wells who appeared as an extra in Monroe's last film, 'The Misfits' and Oscar winner George Chakiris, who danced with Monroe in 'Gentlemen Prefer Blondes.' Other noted guests in attendance for the celebration included Judy Tenuta, Ilene Graff, Jerry Mathers, Florence Henderson, Michael Learned, Geri Jewell, Erin Murphy, Kate Linder, Jane Kean, Mrs. Dick 'Cari' Clark and more. Among the over 300 individuals who gathered this week to honor the late PR Icon, Dale Olson, with an exhibit at the Hollywood Museum and former offices of make-up wizard, Max Factor, included Ruta Lee, Valerie Harper, Garry Marshall, George Schlatter, JoAnne Worley, Kate Linder, Jackie Joseph, Patricia Barry, Ann Jeffreys, Barbra Van Orden, Theodore Bikel, Ilene Graff, Ben Lanzarone, Leonard Maltin, Renee Taylor, Karen Sharpe-Kramer, Martin Wiviott, Hunter and Stan Frieberg. "Marilyn Monroe: The Exhibit" An Intimate Look At The Legend, the nation's largest exhibit of authentic memorabilia celebrating the fabled actress' life, is now extended through September 22, at The Hollywood Museum due to popular demand. In celebration of Lucille Ball's 100th birthday and the 60th anniversary of I Love Lucy, The Hollywood Museum, CBS Home Entertainment and Paramount Home Entertainment pay tribute to Lucy - America's Queen of Comedy, with a reception and the largest 'I Love Lucy' reunion in a decade on Thursday, August 4, 2011 6:00 -9:00 p.m.

If there were an International Idol ... The José Iturbi International Music Competition would be it. José Iturbi was recognized as the world's greatest classical pianist during the 1930's - 1970's. He appeared in several Hollywood films of the 1940s, notably playing himself in the 1943 musical, Thousands Cheer and in the 1945 film, Anchors Aweigh. He worked with legendary talents including Frank Sinatra, Judy Garland, Gene Kelly, Cornel Wilde, and many more. Today, the name José Iturbi has a legacy that still lives through The José Iturbi International Music Competition. It is appropriate that one of the most sought after awards by those who have devoted their lives to music, be dedicated to this remarkable man.

The Hollywood Museum offered invited guests a preview of the exhibit entitled MARILYN REMEMBERED: AN INTIMATE LOOK AT THE LEGEND, opening on what would have been the Icon's 84th birthday on June 1st

It was an abundance of family, friends, fashion and philanthropy as celebrated TV and movie Moms Florence Henderson (Brady Bunch), Ilene Graff (Mr. Belvedere) and Kim Rhodes (Suite Life of Zach & Cody), Nancy Dussault (Too Close for Comfort) and Dee Wallace (ET: Extra-Terrestrial) as well as other industry elite gathered for a pre-Mothers Day celebration at the Hollywood Museum for a special evening featuring the world famous Hollywood Graffiti Gown by Randy McLaughlin and Jerry Skeels of JERAN Design.
