Singer/actress Jan Daley will perform her one-woman show Where There's Hope at The Arthur Newman Theatre at The Joslyn Center in Palm Desert on Sunday, November 6, 2011 at 2 PM as part of Les Michaels' Life Is A Cabaret Sunday Series. Joining Jan Daley will be musical director David Cohen on the piano. The show will feature many standards from the Great American Songbook that Ms. Daley performed throughout her career, especially those highlighted by her USO tours with Bob Hope entertaining more than 40,000 GI's.
Director John Lasseter Receives Star on Hollywood Walk of Fame

Academy Award winning director John Lasseter received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame yesterday, the same day that CARS 2 Blu-Ray/DVD was released. On hand to show their support for the director were Owen Wilson, Emily Mortimer, Brad Paisley, Bonnie Hunt, Cheech Marin, John Ratzenberger, Patton Oswalt, Randy Newman and Don Rickles.

After a an extended absence from the stage, due to the highly publicized accident that resulted in 18 surgeries, Ms. Barbara Van Orden brought her autobiographical cabaret act to Catalina's in Los Angeles this week. Ms. Van Orden began her singing career in the Catskill mountains at Grossinger's, where she opened for individuals such as Milton Berle, Don Rickles and Red Buttons. 'It was a great way to break into show biz,' says Barbara.
