The Pearl Theatre Company will host its exciting and intimate 26th season Gala on Monday, April 26, 2010, honoring award-winning artists Austin Pendleton and Marian Seldes. The evening, which is The Pearl's largest fundraising event of the year, includes a cocktail reception, a three-course dinner, various raffle prizes, and one-of-a-kind live entertainment at The Yale Club of New York.

The cast will include company members Steven Boyer (Bentley Summerhays), Robin Leslie Brown (Mrs. Tarleton), Michael Brusasco (Joey Percival), Bradford Cover (Johnny Tarleton), Dominic Cuskern (Lord Summerhays), Dan Daily (Mr. Tarleton), Sean McNall (Gunner), Erika Rolfsrud (Lina Szczepanowska), Lee Stark (Hypatia Tarleton). Performances for MISALLIANCE will begin December 4th with a scheduled opening of December 13th.

The Pearl Theatre Company production of ‘The Playboy of the Western World' begins performances at New York City Center Stage II on October 2. The show officially opens Oct. 11 and runs through Nov. 22.

The Gallery Players of Park Slope has expanded its already broad scope of theatrical offerings with the creation of Players Shakespeare, a Summer Shakespeare festival and home for the Bard in Brooklyn. As good as its name, Players Shakespeare will focus its productions on Shakepeare's plays themselves and the players who bring them to life.
