The Disney/ABC Television Group (DATG) today announced that the national 'Day of Giving,' held on Monday, November 5, raised more than $16.8 million dollars for the American Red Cross to aid those impacted by the devastation of Hurricane Sandy.

With less than 24-hours until Americans head to the polls to make their voices heard with their vote, ABC News will broadcast a special one-hour edition of "World News with Diane Sawyer" on MONDAY, NOVEMBER 5.

The Disney/ABC Television Group's "Day of Giving" continues to grow, with ABC Family, SOAPnet, Radio Disney, "General Hospital," "Who Wants To Be A Millionaire" and the Disney Stores set to join previously announced network and syndicated programming spanning News, Daytime, Primetime and Late-Night this Monday, November 5, 2012. Americans from across the country will make their voices heard on Tuesday, November 6 as they go to the polls to cast their vote. With one of the closest elections in U.S. history, ABC News will take viewers everywhere the story is - from Obama and Romney headquarters, the heated battleground states and the social media sphere to our partners at Univision in Miami with reaction from the Latino community. The powerhouse political team of ABC News will be there on the television network, online, on social media and on radio to provide the whole picture for the country, as we look ahead to the next four years.

Following the announcement made today by Robert A. Iger, chairman and CEO of The Walt Disney Company of a $2 Million donation for Hurricane Sandy relief and rebuilding efforts, the Disney/ABC Television Group today announced that it will designate Monday, November 5, 2012 as a "Day of Giving" across network and syndicated programming spanning News, Daytime, Primetime and Late-Night, encouraging the tens of millions of viewers engaged throughout the day to help those impacted by Hurricane Sandy.

For the week of October 22, 2012, "ABC World News with Diane Sawyer" averaged 7.59 million Total Viewers and a 1.6 rating/7 share/1.89 million in Adults 25-54, according to Nielsen Media Research. Growing week to week by 8% in Total Viewers and by 11% in Adults 25-54 (7.05 million and 1.71 million, respectively, on w/o 10/15/12) to hit season highs in both measures, "World News" drew its most-watched week in 6 weeks and best news demo performance in 8 weeks - since w/o 9/10/12 and w/o 8/27/12, respectively.

Throughout the day ABC News' Extreme Weather Team will provide viewers with the whole picture of how the storm has impacted the East Coast and beyond. Over the past 24 hours, ABC News has deployed over two-dozen correspondents and anchors to cover Superstorm Sandy for its broadcasts, digital platforms, affiliates and radio newscasts.

In the aftermath of Hurricane Sandy, "LIVE with Kelly and Michael" will move its popular Halloween-themed show to MONDAY, NOVEMBER 5, 2012. In addition, the top morning talk show is returning to its normal live production schedule beginning on Wednesday, October 31.

With the ABC News Extreme Weather Team dispatched up and down the storm zone, ABC News will provide comprehensive coverage of Hurricane Sandy across all broadcasts and platforms. Residents up and down the East Coast are preparing for what forecasters predict could be the worst storm in two generations.

A special edition of "Nightline" chronicles a resurgent Ku Klux Klan, with rare access inside Klan groups in both Mississippi and Virginia. Over four months, the "Nightline" team chronicled the reinvigorated white supremacist group, witnessed secretive cross burning rituals and rallies, met the people beneath the trademark white hoods, and talked to them about their practices and message of hate. Cynthia McFadden's exclusive report airs on "Nightline" on FRIDAY, OCTOBER 26 (11:35 p.m., ET) on the ABC Television Network. A portion of McFadden's report will also air on "World News with Diane Sawyer" (6:30 p.m., ET).

For the week of October 15, 2012, ABC WORLD NEWS WITH DIANE SAWYER averaged 7.05 million Total Viewers and a 1.4 rating/6 share/1.70 million in Adults 25-54, according to Nielsen Media Research. 

DRG Records announces the release of the cast recording of FORBIDDEN BROADWAY: ALIVE AND KICKING, The UN-Original Cast Album, produced by Hugh Fordin, and available in stores and online on November 27, 2012. Featured on the album are cast members Natalie Charlé Ellis, Scott Richard Foster, Jenny Lee Stern and Marcus Stevens, with David Caldwell on piano.

Due to overwhelming popular demand, the producers of Gerard Alessandrini's brand- new FORBIDDEN BROADWAY: ALIVE AND KICKING have announced the show will be extending its run at the 47th Street Theatre (304 West 47th Street - just west of Eighth Avenue) through April 28th, 2013. The production is co-directed by Phillip George. FORBIDDEN BROADWAY: ALIVE AND KICKING opened on September 6th after a three-year absence from New York.

Deb Miller, President/CEO, DB Designs, LLC, dba Hugrz Boot Wraps, will receive the Gold, Silver or Bronze Award for Female Entrepreneur of the Year in the 9th annual Stevie Awards for Women in Business. According to the Stevie Awards, 'this is a significant achievement for Miller. Receiving the award means that independent judges agreed that she is worthy of international recognition.' The award will be conferred at a gala event November 9th in New York City.

For the 5th consecutive week, 'World News' narrowed its Total Viewer margin by double digits year to year with 'NBC Nightly News' (-22% - 449,000 vs. 572,000).
