THE MEETING Returns to Los Angeles at The Bootleg Theater This Weekend

The Meeting* hosted by Justin Sayre, the acclaimed comedy/variety show, will return to THE BOOTLEG THEATER tonight, July 25 and Saturday, July 26 at 7:30 PM. After extended runs at 54 Below and Joe's Pub in New York, the show recently made its Los Angeles debut and is back for two more performances. The show will feature special guests to be announced.

For 20 years now, Cirque Eloize has been taking the public and critics by storm in more than 440 cities around the world. Cirque Eloize's dazzling and energetic show entitled "iD" comes to South Africa for the very first time at the Teatro at Montecasino opening on Tuesday, 19 August. Showtime Management, SA promoters of this unique visual spectacular that combines contemporary circus arts and urban dance announced the show is extending by a week to accommodate public demand. If anyone was destined for a career in the arts, it was Leslie Uggams. With a father who was a singer and a mother who was a dancer, it was appropriate that Leslie would be a professional by the age of six. She attended school with the composer, Marvin Hamlish and the son of Gypsy Rose Lee and Otto Preminger, Erik Lee Preminger. Ms. Uggams has worked with everyone from Ethel Waters to Kermit the frog. Yet, it is her latest venture that proves there are still many barriers to break for African Americans in the industry.
