OpenStage Theatre presents The Book of Liz at 8 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays from Feb. 21 to March 21, with a Thursday performance at 7:30 p.m. March 19 and two Sunday matinees at 2 p.m. on March 8 and March 15. Performances are in the Lincoln Center Mini Theater, 417 W. Magnolia St. in Fort Collins. A free performance for students and educators, funded by The Thornton Family Fund, will be presented on Tuesday, February 19, at 7:30 p.m. To make reservations for the student/educator performance, contact OpenStage Theatre at (970) 484-5237.

New Cast Members Ireland and Pasquale Join Perabo and Sadoski in 'reasons to be pretty'

It was announced today that Marin Ireland, Steven Pasquale, Piper Perabo and Thomas Sadoski will comprise the four-person cast of this season's production of Neil LaBute's new play, reasons to be pretty, under the direction of Terry Kinney. Perabo and Sadoski appeared in this summer's smash Off Broadway world premiere for MCC Theater, with Ireland and Pasquale slated to join the cast for
the Broadway production. Preview performances begin Friday, March 13, 2009 at the Lyceum Theatre (149 West 45th Street) with an official opening night scheduled for Thursday, April 2, 2009. Tickets are on sale now through www.telecharge.com.

Downstage @ New Rep is reviving its holiday celebration of anti-cheer with David Sedaris' hilarious autobiographical solo show, The Santaland Diaries. The one-man comedy that satirizes everything we love to hate about the holidays opens for the press on Wednesday, December 17, 2008 at 7:30 p.m. and plays through January 4, 2009 in the Black Box Theater at the Arsenal Center for the Arts.

Luna Stage begins its 16th theatrical season with the World Premiere of Fair and Decent by Thomas H. Diggs, to be directed by Luna Stage Artistic Director, Jane Mandel. Fair and Decent, a political comedy/drama, is set in 1980 at the dawn of the Reagan presidency. It begins in a Washington think tank as the insiders there excitedly prepare to influence the new administration. The play's historical context revolves around the effort to do away with the Fairness Doctrine, an FCC policy requiring holders of broadcast licenses to present contrasting viewpoints on controversial issues of public importance.
