Theater Schmeater to Stage New Musical THE CROSSING

Theater Schmeater has announced the beginning of a new journey with the re-telling of an old one. The Crossing, an original chamber musical, will open at The Schmee on Friday July 15th and then run on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays through August 13th.

The Colorado Theatre Guild's 11th Annual Henry Awards will take place Monday, July 18, 2016 at the PACE Center, 20000 Pikes Peak Avenue in Parker, Colorado. The evening begins at 6 p.m. with cocktails and the awards ceremony will begin at 7 p.m., followed by an after-party. Tickets are $23 for CTG members (limit 2 per person online with the code Henry2016), $30 non-members or $50 VIP. Tickets go on sale June 20 through the PACE Center website, parkerarts.org, or by calling the box office at 303-805-6800.

The musical comedy centers on a regular guy and his agoraphobic wife, whose marriage is threatened by Pippi, a stripper on the run, who shows up to Armadillo Acres - the storms are a'brewin! Costa Mesa Playhouse to Close Season with THE GREAT AMERICAN TRAILER PARK MUSICAL, 6/4-7/3

The Costa Mesa Playhouse closes its 51st season with the campy spoof "The Great American Trailer Park Musical," playing June 4 through July 3. With music and lyrics by David Nehls and book by Betsy Kelso, 'The Great American Trailer Park Musical' began its journey as a series of staged readings and workshops, followed by a sold-out run at The New York Musical Theatre Festival in 2004, which led to a 2005 Off Broadway run. A Christmas-themed sequel followed.
Arvada Center to Stage Regional Premiere of DEATH TAKES A HOLIDAY, 4/26-5/15

The Arvada Center for the Arts and Humanities will open the regional premiere of Death Takes a Holiday directed by Arvada Center Artistic Producer, Rod A. Lansberry in the Main Stage Theatre on April 26, running through May 15, 2016. Performances are Tuesday through Saturday at 7:30 p.m.; Wednesday at 1:00 p.m.; Saturday and Sunday at 2:00 p.m., Previews are April 22 - 24 at 7:30 p.m. nightly. Moderated Talk Backs are scheduled on Friday, May 6 following the 7:30 p.m. performance and Wednesday, May 11 following the 1:00 p.m. performance. BroadwayWorld can exclusively confirm that the hit Off-Broadway show THE GREAT AMERICAN TRAILER PARK MUSICAL will officially receive its London premiere later this spring. The production will run 11th May to 5th June 2016 with Press Night on May 17th at Waterloo East Theatre Brad Street London.
