The N.C. Museum of History and Burning Coal Theatre Company will present the SHAKESPEARE MARATHON: 38 PLAYS IN 5 DAYS.

Berkeley Rep announced today it will present the world premiere of John Leguizamo: Latin History for Dummies. Written and performed by Leguizamo and directed by Berkeley Rep's Michael Leibert Artistic Director Tony Taccone, this limited engagement will run Friday, July 1-Sunday, August 14 in the newly renovated Peet's Theatre. This Valentine's Day, Sunday 14 February, leading names in British theatre will come together to perform a benefit show for the UNHCR at the National Theatre.  The afternoon performance in the NT's Lyttelton Theatre will see actors including Juliet Stevenson (Truly, Madly, Deeply), David Morrissey (Hangmen), Andy Nyman (Hangmen), Rufus Hound (Dirty Rotten Scoundrels), James Bolam (New Tricks), Noma Dumezweni (Linda), Ray Fearon (Coronation Street), Adjoa Andoh (Dr Who) and Zubin Varla (Dara) perform brand new work and much loved work by Richard Bean, Staten Cousins-Roe, Stephanie Dale, David Edgar, Phil Porter, Michelle Terry, Jenifer Toksvig and Matthew Woodyatt (with further cast and creative names to be announced).

The play submission gates were thrown open on November 1 when the Table|Room|Stage (T|R|S) new play development program at Artists Repertory Theatre began accepting submissions for the new Oregon Play Prize.

Lorrel Manning (Happy New Year), THE UNREPEATABLE MOMENT will feature Horrible Person That I Am, A Low Lying Fog, Hating Beckett, My Father's Heart and the world premiere of Racist Donut. THE UNREPEATABLE MOMENT begins previews on Sunday, November 15, 2015 at The TBG Theatre at The Barrow Group (312 W. 36th St., 3rd Floor) with an opening date currently set for Thursday, November 19, 2015 for a strictly limited run through Sunday, December 6, 2015.

Berkeley Repertory Theatre today announced that Michael Liebert Artistic Director Tony Taccone will direct the upcoming production of Aubergine, by Julia Cho, which is scheduled to have its world premiere performances at the Theatre in February 2016. Liesl Tommy, Berkeley Rep's former associate director, has had to withdraw from the production following the just-announced Broadway transfer of Eclipsed, which Tommy is directing at the Public Theater in New York.

The University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music (CCM) is pleased to announce details for its 2015-16 Mainstage Series of opera, musical theatre, drama and dance productions. Artists Repertory Theatre names ambitious new play development program Table|Room|Stage (T|R|S). This wide-ranging program is led by Director of New Play Development & Dramaturgy Luan Schooler. Artists Rep welcomes playwright Yussef El Guindi to develop his play The Talented Ones as the first project of this notable program.

A memorial tribute will be held for Roger Rees, the legendary Tony Award-winning actor, and Tony Award nominated director, on Monday, September 21 at 1:00 PM at the New Amsterdam Theatre (214 W 42nd Street, NYC), it was announced today.  Doors will open at 12:30 PM, with general admission seating available to the public.  

A memorial celebration of his life, which will be open to the public, has now been set for Monday, September 21, 2015 at 1pm at The New Amsterdam Theatre, currently home to Disney's ALADDIN. 

The Broadway community mourned the loss of Tony Award-winning actor and Tony-nominated director, Roger Rees, who passed away last Friday at age 71, by dimming the Great White Way's theater marquees in his memory tonight, July 15th, at 7:45 p.m. for one minute.
