Color Purple's Felicia Fields and The Wedding Singer Join MCC's MISCAST March 13

MCC THEATER announced today that FELICIA FIELDS (The Color Purple), along with a special performance by members of Broadway's THE WEDDING SINGER will join the celebrity cast of 'MISCAST,' a star-studded musical revue featuring some of Broadway's biggest names singing show tunes in roles they would never, ever perform.

Manhattan Theatre Club (Lynne Meadow, Artistic Director; Barry Grove, Executive Producer) is pleased to announce full casting for the upcoming the world premiere production of Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa's BASED ON A TOTALLY TRUE STORY. Directed by Michael Bush, the production begins previews on March 23 and opens on April 11 at New York City Center - Stage II (131 West 55th Street).

Playwright Deb Margolin -- author of the plays 'Three Seconds in the Key,' 'Bringing the Fisherman Home' and 'Rock Scissors Paper' -- is the recipient of the $15,000 '2005 Kesselring Prize' for playwriting, it has been announced by O. Aldon James, president of The National Arts Club, which presents the Kesselring each year to an emerging American playwright. This year marks the 25th anniversary of the Kesselring Prize.
