Barlett Sher-Helmed FIDDLER ON THE ROOF Will Return to Broadway in November 2015

As BroadwayWorld previously reported, Fiddler on the Roof is coming back to Broadway, for the sixth time since it opened in 1964. The revival will be produced by Jeffrey Richards and Jerry Frankel, and directed by Barlett Sher. Now according to Telecharge, the musical will begin performances on November 17, 2015.

To kick off the release of famed Sirius XM radio host Seth Rudetsky new book Seth's Broadway Diary, Dress Circle Publishing (Brisa Trinchero and Roberta Pereira, founders) hosted a special book launch concert event last night at Don't Tell Mama (343 W 46th St). Broadway stars Kelli O'Hara, Judy Kuhn, Anika Larsen, Hunter Bell, Jeff Bowen, Chip Zien and Marc Shaiman who are featured in the book performed excerpts and some of Seth's favorite songs. David Yazbek has shown himself to be a Broadway composer-lyricist to be reckoned with, after a splashy debut with 2000's "The Full Monty," and a meaningful follow-up with 2005's "Dirty Rotten Scoundrels." Both film adaptations, they won Drama Desk Awards for him, as well as Tony nominations. 2010's "Women on the Verge of a Nervous Breakdown", also a film adaptation, was Tony-nominated for its score as well, though it suffered a truncated run of only 69 performances. Theatre at the Center in the Chicago suburb of Munster, Indiana, is the location for the show's world regional premiere.

Vision Vehicle Productions announced today that the independent studio has sold worldwide rights to its next two features, PASS THE LIGHT and CONSTRUCTION, to DigiNext. Both films will be released theatrically and downstream through DigiNext's unique direct-to-consumer (DtoC) platform, a customized end-to-end solution for independent features and documentaries. Digiplex (NASDAQ: DCIN), DigiNext's JV co-owner with Nehst Out, agreed to be acquired by Carmike Cinemas (NASDAQ: CKEC), the nation's fourth largest exhibitor, in a transaction announced in May. Inclusive of the 200+ screens being purchased, Carmike's domestic footprint will expand to approximately 3,000 screens across 41 states. Vision Vehicle Productions' features will be the first narrative films to utilize this unique theatrical release and DtoC distribution platform.

Roundabout Theatre Company has announced that celebrated make-up designer Angelina Avallone and the Kit Kat Girls from CABARET will give a FREE make-up demonstration at MAC Cosmetics Times Square (1540 Broadway) on Thursday, August 28 at 3pm. MAC is the Official Makeup partner of CABARET. Guests will learn from Avallone how to recreate the bold signature look of 1920s Berlin she designed for the hit Broadway revival. The demonstration will be followed-up by a live performance by the Kit Kat Girls.

As BroadwayWorld reported earlier this afternoon, Emma Stone will officially take over for Michelle Williams as 'Sally Bowles' in Roundabout Theatre's CABARET revival on Broadway in November. Williams will end her run on November 9, 2014, with Stone taking over on the 11th, and continuing until February 1st. Additionally Tony-winning Emcee, Alan Cumming, and Tony-nominees Linda Emond and Danny Burstein have extended their runs until late March.
