The Philip K. Dick Science Fiction Film Festival has added two films as part of the official selections and has announced the full schedule of events for its highly anticipated second annual event to honor one of the most revered writers within the literary world. The multi-day experience will launch in Williamsburg, Brooklyn from December 6-8, 2013 at the prestigious IndieScreen theater and will screen numerous innovative features and shorts which are adapted or inspired by the unprecedented works of Philip K. Dick. Each of the films capture the distinctive boldness of the the genre and bring forth some of the most riveting moments of science fiction cinema.

On Tuesday, August 27th, NewFilmmakers presents films from Brooklyn and on Wednesday, August 28th, NewFilmmakers celebrates Labour Day.

A night science fiction will be presented at Anthology Film Archives as part of the center's NewFilmmakers series. Daniel Abella, the famed director of The Philip K. Dick Science Fiction Film Festival led the curation for the momentous special program to be held on Wednesday, August 28. The one-night only lineup features four thrilling film shorts from the minds of talented filmmakers who showcase the infinite world of science fiction.

The Philip K. Dick Science Fiction Film Festival's inaugural event went off without the occurrence of a broken timeline and became one of this past weekend's hottest gatherings. About 1,000 fans attended the IndieScreen theater with a sold out opening night for Radio Free Albemuth and five other previously announced locations to view 10 features and 50 shorts which carry on the concepts and style of the festival's legendary namesake. The NewFilmmakers NY Series screens at Anthology Film Archives on the Lower East Side at 32 Second Avenue & 2nd Street. NewFilmmakers LA screens in the Stanley Kramer Theater @ Anthology at the Sunset Gower Studio. Many features screened at NewFilmmakers are now available on NewFilmmakers Online.
